Thirty years ago NASA’s James Hansen predicted 4-6 degrees US warming by 2020. We have almost reached 2020, and there has been no net warming in the US since the 1930’s

Hansen tried to hide his incompetence by tampering with the US temperature data, but his best tampering efforts still fell far short of his forecasts.

Hansen also predicted a huge increase in the number of 90 degree days in Washington DC and Omaha. In fact we have seen the exact opposite. The frequency of 90 degree days has plummeted.

James Hansen is completely incompetent and has no idea what he is talking about, but he says the things politicians and journalists want to hear – and has become rich and famous in doing so.

Hey Tony, do you have any evidence Hansen ever said anything like “CO2 produces warming”? Or, “atmospheric CO2 is like a dam in a river”?

    Now, THAT would be incompetence….

    • tonyheller says:

Your idiotic remarks are causing tremendous damage to our efforts to stop this scam. I will have to assume you are a saboteur

        VERY idiotic

You would think by now he would know his feeble lies would be countered swiftly with facts. However Progressives have never been known for engaging their brains.

      • geran says:

Tony, here’s an idiotic remark for you: “CO2 produces warming”.

Teaching folks the wrong science is what damages the effort to stop the scam.

    • Gail Combs says:

      James Hansen spouted idiocies like:

“If humanity wishes to preserve a planet similar to that on which civilization developed and to which life on Earth is adapted, paleoclimate evidence and ongoing climate change suggest that CO2 will need to be reduced from [current levels] to at most 350 ppm.”

That is from this 2008 paper:

Target atmospheric CO2: Where should humanity aim?

      J. Hansen (1 and 2), M. Sato (1 and 2), P. Kharecha (1 and 2), D. Beerling (3), R. Berner (4), V. Masson-Delmotte (5), M. Pagani (4), M. Raymo (6), D. L. Royer (7), J. C. Zachos (8) ((1) NASA GISS, (2) Columbia Univ. Earth Institute, (3) Univ. Sheffield, (4) Yale Univ., (5) LSCE/IPSL, (6) Boston Univ., (7) Wesleyan Univ., (8) Univ. California Santa Cruz)

      (Submitted on 7 Apr 2008 (v1), last revised 15 Oct 2008 (this version, v3))

Paleoclimate data show that climate sensitivity is ~3 deg-C for doubled CO2, including only fast feedback processes. Equilibrium sensitivity, including slower surface albedo feedbacks, is ~6 deg-C for doubled CO2 for the range of climate states between glacial conditions and ice-free Antarctica. Decreasing CO2 was the main cause of a cooling trend that began 50 million years ago, large scale glaciation occurring when CO2 fell to 450 +/- 100 ppm, a level that will be exceeded within decades, barring prompt policy changes. If humanity wishes to preserve a planet similar to that on which civilization developed and to which life on Earth is adapted, paleoclimate evidence and ongoing climate change suggest that CO2 will need to be reduced from its current 385 ppm to at most 350 ppm. The largest uncertainty in the target arises from possible changes of non-CO2 forcings. An initial 350 ppm CO2 target may be achievable by phasing out coal use except where CO2 is captured and adopting agricultural and forestry practices that sequester carbon. If the present overshoot of this target CO2 is not brief, there is a possibility of seeding irreversible catastrophic effects.

    Oh,
But you should feel sorry for the poor little kid.
After all, during WW II, he knew that everyone must “save the world”!
That is why he was deprived of his toys, desert, etc.
And, of course, war is bad, very bad. Dads die in wars, so must be avoided.

Yes, “Save the world”, as the mantra of the 4 year old.
…along with “Peace For Out Time!”
Who cares if Putin grabs the Sudetenland (Baltic States, Ukraine, etc)
Jinping grabs the S. Pacific, they will “save the world…for the kids!”

Oh! look over there the sock puppets N. Korea and Iran will hurt you!

  3. Andy DC says:

As we all well know, back in the late 80’s Hansen was sure that sections of Manhattan would be underwater due to sea level rise by now. It simply has not worked out for alarmists as they had hoped. Little did they know when they were proclaiming Katrina the “New Normal” back in 2005 that there would be no other landfalling major hurricanes during the next 11 years.

Even with all the maneuvering to prop up Floundering Hillary, the downward trend [in the Media polling] for her is obvious. Quick media whores! Call Michael Mann! Ask him how to ‘hide the decline’!

Even with over sampling democrats by 10% they still can’t hide the sinking poll numbers.

    ALL HANDS ON DECK!
    Mikey Mann!
    Jimmy Hansen!
    Gavin Schmidt!

QUICK QUICK, Mann the bilge pumps, the good Ship Hilderbeast is SINKING!
