Nice fact finding; you should call Lester.
On another note, a thorough explanation of the failure of these types of deals (NAFTA, TPP, GAT) James Goldsmith wrote The Trap. Its out of print and hard to find so take a look at Charlie Rose interviewing him way back, it prescient:

  2. Louis Hooffstetter says:

Sadly, labor is just a commodity in today’s world. These trade agreements shift high paying jobs from the relatively wealthy, developed countries (the US, UK, Germany, etc.) to poor countries with low incomes/wages. To get elected, the politicians who negotiated these deals promised, (and had a duty) to do what was in the best interests of their constituents. Instead they sold the middle class (all of us) down the river for 30 pieces of silver. That’s why “Establishment politicians” are reviled and need to be thrown out in the next election.

Lester Holt said: “Let’s talk about race. How do you heal the divide in America?”

Donald Trump should have said: “By bringing jobs back to our inner cities and offering our unemployed a chance to earn an honest living.”

“Donald Trump should have said: “By bringing jobs back to our inner cities and offering our unemployed a chance to earn an honest living.”

Actually Trump has said that repeatedly. He also added the need for better education, getting rid of Common Core and re-establishing the rule of law.

Hubby is at the computer that supports video so I hope I picked the correct U-Tubes.

Donald Trump/Hannity FULL Townhall African American Voters

Full Event: Donald Trump Holds Rally in Chester Township, PA

Haitian President EXPOSES the Clinton Foundation at Trump Town hall where Trump listens to Miami Haitian concerns.

Trump is going to the voters and asking them what their concerns are. He has dialogs instead of preaching AT them. At a couple rallies he said he talked to a lot of small business owners across the country and they said getting rid of ridiculous regulations is more important than getting rid of high taxes. He has promised to get rid of 70% of the current regulations. As president he can get rid of regulations since they ARE NOT LAWS passed by congress.

      • Bleakhouses says:

Trump does support it and I was disappointed that he didnt respond that way; it really was a simple answer and he has said it enough times. He was poor at the debate, took the bait the troll (in both senses of the word) gave him and responded out of anger rather than intellect.

        • Andy DC says:

For many months Trump has been continuously lambasted by both parties as a mean spirited bigot and a know nothing. It was thus essential that Trump accomplish these 2 goals in the first debate:

#1 Show he could be Presidential
#2 Show he is likable and not a mean spirited bully

I realize that people are all over him for missing a zinger or two, but he accomplished both of these far more important goals with flying colors.

    H. Ross Perot. said he believed that there would be a giant sucking wind as explained here:

“The phrase, which Perot coined during the 1992 US presidential campaign, referred to the sound of US jobs heading south for Mexico should the NAFTA, the proposed so-called free-trade agreement, go into effect.

In the second 1992 Presidential Debate, Ross Perot argued:

We have got to stop sending jobs overseas. It’s pretty simple: If you’re paying $12, $13, $14 an hour for factory workers and you can move your factory South of the border, pay a dollar an hour for labor,…have no health care—that’s the most expensive single element in making a car— have no environmental controls, no pollution controls and no retirement, and you don’t care about anything but making money, there will be a giant sucking sound going south.
…when [Mexico’s] jobs come up from a dollar an hour to six dollars an hour, and ours go down to six dollars an hour, and then it’s leveled again. But in the meantime, you’ve wrecked the country with these kinds of deals.[1]

Perot ultimately lost the election, and the winner, Bill Clinton, supported NAFTA, which went into effect on January 1, 1994.”

Obviously Trump was correct and all the others were wrong. Let’s hope we can get this clear-sighted fellow elected President of the United States. We need someone in that Office who can see reality for what it is.

  5. Gail Combs says:

HMMMmmm Seems the internet sleuths have found three ways that Hillary colluded with the Moderator, Holt.

#1. Reading her responses from pre-written notes.

This is why she does not hesitate to gather her thoughts after the question is asked and has such a smooth delivery. I also noticed she spent much of the time looking at the podium and not the audience. Trump kept eye contact with the audience almost the entire time.

The “Cleaner” – Quick as a Flash… this guy grabs Hillary’s notes off her podium as Hillary distracts Trump.

E.M. Smith went over the video again carefully. ” Notice as he [The Cleaner] exits the stage (with the gaggle of ‘interference’ bodies blocking views) he has his right arm bent to behind his back in the classic ‘hiding something’ pose. Now maybe he’s just scratching his kidney… but… “

A video of the strange goings on at Hillary’s podium:

E.M. also thought she was reading a script.

….At about the 43 minute mark on my VCR just as the question is coming, HRC does a long look down at her podium. then sporadic look downs after that. Now I’ve done LOTS of public speaking. I know that look. You have a ‘crib note’ (maybe pre-made, or maybe made ‘at the moment’) and you are looking down to scan it and load up the talking points. I was trained in a “baseball diamond” method. Key Point at the pitchers mound, home plate the start and reenforce at the end notes, then three ‘bases’ of a few key words each of things to cover. In about 30 seconds you can sketch it out, then talk for 3 minutes, or 30, and still have focus…
HRC Pivots to Tulsa and Charlotte at about 43-44 and does a lot of ‘look downs’….

#2. Again an earpiece is spotted, but this time a ?wire? and square box on Hillary’s back is spotted too.

Note the middle of the ear is a slightly different colour.

Hillary signals to the moderator when she wants him to interrupt Trump and call on her to counter the comments made by Donald Trump. No wonder there were 41 interruptions !

From another gateway pundit story pointing to the True Pundit story below: Breaking: POKER PRO AGREES – Hillary Was Sending Hand Signals to Debate Moderator Holt

RIGGED: Damning Video Busts Hillary Using Hand Signals To Trigger Lester Holt

(You tube is pulling these videos as fast as they go up.)

Note from a woman commenter at True Pundit that I completely agree with:
“Woman’s don’t wipe their face like that when they have makeup on. NEVER ever — you would smear it!!!” —- We train ourselves to keep our hands away from our faces at an early age and certainly as soon as we start wearing make-up. I hate make-up and rarely wear it and even I have that training engrained.

I started following this blog a couple of months ago. This fellow seems to know what he’s talking about:

So these international trade deals…seems to me they do change the size of the pie; and they do benefit some…while hurting and destroying others. And further more, it seems to me from my vantage point as an American engineer working in American industry, that these deals do not necessarily help American workers. Our leaders have a duty to protect the interests of the American people – not remake the world into some kind of projected “better place”.

Globalism is being recognized as a corrosive policy that is poisoning and destroying our way of life. People are starting to figure out that nations matter; borders matter, immigration matters, national culture and language matter, and employment and lifestyle can no longer just be taken for granted. Because our current crop of leaders care not for us – their constituency is the global and national elite. To Hillary and her ilk we are all “coal people” and “despicable”.

I will be voting for Hillary’s rival. It matters.
