Greens get hysterical about one bear dying of natural causes, but celebrate the death of thousands of raptors killed by their own devices.

as a birdwatcher and lover, and an environmentalist (though of the conservative variety, like in the old timey days) this fetish with these shredding machines is maddening.
Its odd.. I just turned on the TV and saw Jimmy carter talk about the preservation of birds.. very heart felt for sure.
But how does Jimmy Carter reconcile this position with his support for ‘green’ wind energy?

I think we should protect birds from turbines by applying science to the issue, no doubt there is a way from keeping them away from them, there is just not the incentive yet.
Hopefully there will be soon, so wind turbines can be used whilst the raptors see US folk shoot bears and ducks and deer etc for fun with their fantastic vision…..
Cough
;)
No point having a pop at turbines when far more animals ( and humans ) are killed in the USA each year with the rifle than the turbine ever killed. Get your priorities right?
Andy
Are deer endangered? Duck?
It is false to equate endangered golden eagles and California Condors with deer and ducks.
So an animal only has any value when we have killed enough to be near extinction, then them are worth protecting? Is that what you are saying?
You hunt bison to near extinction and then they become valuable and worth lots of money to protect. That’s great logic.
I am sure if these birds were being pushed to extinction by coal fired power stations you would not hear anything about it on here, don’t you agree? See the bird dying is not the issue, the way it dies for a political point is is the issue. SAD!
Andy

Nice strawman Andy!
“being pushed to extinction by coal fired power stations”
You are welcome to post one single picture of eagles killed by coal fired power stations.
You are an empty sad-sack, as always.
All you ever do is embarrass yourself with your idiocy.

God leftists are stupid.
I live in deer hunting central. You cannot swing a dead bobcat around hear without hitting half a dozen hunters. Not one of them would find the taking of a life “fun”. In fact, we practice for hours to be sure we can make a clean kill, so the animals do not suffer unnecessarily. We do it to feed ourselves and family, to keep populations in check, to obtain healthy food, and because that is how natures god created us. Why don’t you ladies ever berate polar bears for being vicious hunters?
Wind turbines are an eyesore and unnecessary in our modern world. Get out of the city.
Not (Thank God) Andy.
