The Midwest Heatwave Of October, 1939

During the week of October 4-10, 1939 – Madison, Indiana was over 90 degrees every day, and reached 100 degrees on October 8, 1939.  Madison afternoon temperatures average about ten degrees cooler on October 6 now than they did during the 1930s.
