2,670 Days Since Florida Has Been Hit By A Hurricane

Florida has been hurricane-free since October 19, 2005. This is by far the longest hurricane-free period in Florida’s history.

You’ve hit the nail right on the head.

If CO2 induced climate change is so damn dangerous all the chicken littles ought to be celebrating the good news that it hasn’t gotten any worse for more than 15 years – great news !

But not to them – they are evil and delight in other people’s misery as a result of a storm or flood.

And only small minds can gain comfort by unthinkingly conforming with a silly proposition and denigrating all that think for themselves – just like the gullible that strap on explosives at the encouragement of those that would never consider such terminal stupidity themselves.

Steven, just looking at Wiki (sorry, it’s quick and easy and just a first source, trying to find a list at the NHC is a week-long endeavor) it looks like longer periods of no-landfalls have occurred just going back to the 60’s let alone longer. – 1995-2004 (9 years), 1965-1975 (10 years) – What is your source for the longest stretch in history without a landfall?

I wonder when the insurance companies will start giving Florida home owners discounts?
