Learning To Analyze Data Like An Arctic Expert

During the first week of July, I predicted that Arctic sea ice extent was about to take a sharp turn towards the median. This was based on very simple geometry, geography, current ice conditions and the weather forecast.

Our friends went ballistic, wrote up a story on ClimateCrocks, and sent an army of idiots over here. Five weeks later some of them are still hanging out here claiming that I was wrong. Apparently you just can’t fix stupid.

My Old Boss – The Whack Job

ASPEN, Colo. — President Jimmy Carter called a tax on carbon emissions “the only reasonable approach” to combating climate change during an appearance here Tuesday, but lamented that even piecemeal actions are unlikely to get through a divided Congress.

Carter, 89, who received a lifetime achievement award on the final day of the American Renewable Energy Day summit, spoke during a luncheon attended by a number of conservationists as well as Ted Turner, T. Boone Pickens and Tom Steyer, the California billionaire pledging to devote his personal finances to political candidates willing to take action on climate change.

The 39th president, who created the Dept. of Energy and advocated for conservation before scientists began to understand the impact of human activity on climate, told AREI’s Sally Ranney that he didn’t have to deal with the same level of partisan gridlock in Congress as President Obama currently does.

I think now the opportunity is even greater for us to take action. But we had very good support then from Republicans, almost as much from Republicans as Democrats,” he said.

I worked for Carter in 1980 developing oil shale on the western slope of Colorado, The project we were doing would have wiped out western Colorado and pumped massive amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The project was Carter’s brainchild, and fortunately was stopped by Reagan as one of his first actions.

Carter is a typical Democrat – he lies about everything.

Evening NCDC Fraud Report

NCDC published this amazing map today, which wildly inflates US January-July temperature rankings.

For now, I am going to focus on Colorado, which they show as 24th warmest. Colorado has actually been very close to the mean at 49th warmest.

NCDC shows a strong warming trend

In fact, there has been zero trend in Colorado. The trend line is identical to the mean line.

NCDC accomplished this through a spectacular hockey stick of data tampering, which cools the past by almost five degrees relative to the present.

You to admire NCDC’s hard work and devotion to corrupting the US temperature record, and making it completely meaningless scientifically.

State Of The Climate Report

Government experts tell us that the weather is getting hotter and more extreme, because it is their job to lie about the climate. Their job keeps getting tougher.

  • The US is currently experiencing the longest stretch of years (almost 9) without a major (category 3-5) hurricane strike.
  • US tornadoes have been record low, or near record low for the past three years
  • Global temperatures have been flat for 18 years
  • US temperatures (before data tampering) have been declining for 90 years
  • Winter snow cover has been increasing across the northern hemisphere, to record levels over the past decade.
  • The amount of old thick ice in the Arctic has nearly doubled over the past three years
  • Antarctic sea ice is at record high levels
  • The US is having one of the coldest years on record.
  • Except for the west coast, the US is almost drought and fire free this summer.

Another Proxy For NOAA Temperature Fraud

According to NOAA, the US is experiencing a just below average temperature year – despite the fact that their own thermometer data shows 2014 as one of the coldest on record.

Here is another proxy which demonstrates that their claims are incorrect. The ratio of record daily minimums to record daily maximums in the US is the second highest since 1930. Only 1993 was higher, and that was due to volcanic dust from Mt. Pinatubo  blocking the sun.

Antarctic Sea Ice Area Above Normal For 990 Consecutive Days

With Antarctic ice growing at record rates for the past 35 years, climate experts tell us that Antarctica is melting down. Sea ice extent has been above normal every day for the past 990 days and is growing at a rate of two Manhattans per day.

Six Years Since Serreze Predicted An Ice-Free North Pole

Mark Serreze says I am breathtakingly ignorant. He also predicts the North Pole will be ice-free in 2008

Fri June 27, 2008   North Pole could be ice-free this summer, scientists say

The North Pole may be briefly ice-free by September as global warming melts away Arctic sea ice, according to scientists from the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Boulder, Colorado.

“We kind of have an informal betting pool going around in our center and that betting pool is ‘does the North Pole melt out this summer?’ and it may well,” said the center’s senior research scientist, Mark Serreze.

What Part Of This Isn’t Clear?

NASA has altered their own data to hide the decline globally. The animation below shows changes to published NASA global temperature data from 1981 to the present.
