The forecast maximum temperature at Dixon, Illinois for Wednesday is -18F.

If the forecast is accurate, that would be the coldest afternoon on record at Dixon since 1895. The previous record of -14 F was set on Christmas Day, 1983 and January 19, 1994.

The two previous records were aided by volcanic dust blocking sunlight from the eruptions of El Chichón in 1982 and Mt. Pinatubo in 1991.  After those eruptions, temperatures spiked in the stratosphere, and cooled in the troposphere.  Note that all five of the previous coldest days were set during the last 35 years.

So where is all this cold Arctic air coming from?  Climate experts say Arctic winters are super hot and melting with crazy temperature rises.

In the real world outside the ivory towers of academia, journalism and politics, the Arctic is very cold, and the cold air is spilling to lower latitudes.

Wednesday’s forecast maximum of -13F at Aurora, Illinois would be the coldest afternoon on record there.

Aurora has had forty-three days since 1895 which didn’t make it above 0F, and four days which never made it above -10F.  The coldest afternoon on record was -12F on Christmas Eve 1983.

According to Ventusky, Aurora will only make it up to -20F on Wednesday.

Climate experts want to save the people of Aurora, Illinois from imaginary overheating in 100 years, by cutting off their fuel supply and freezing them to death now.

The bad news just keeps coming for climate experts, who promised an ice-free Arctic no later than last year.

Where did she get these crazy ideas from? She got it from them.

AOC was actually being quite conservative. The World Economic Forum only gave us until the year 2020.

The UN said global warming killed us in the year 2000.

And the CIA said global cooling killed us decades ago. So kudos to AOC for being more conservative than the scientists in her forecasts of apocalypse.

There is ice surrounding much of Svalbard.

In 1922, there was no ice around Svalbard (Spitzbergen.) Apparently there is more ice in the Eastern Arctic (Laptev and Kara Seas) than there was in 1922 – when the Arctic was melting down and experiencing a “radical change in climatic conditions.”

“Scientists warn” that more Eastern Arctic ice than 1922 is an indication of a tipping point, because climate scientists are a bunch of incompetent hacks – who are paid to make up nonsense which journalists can latch on to.

That super-hot air is coming south, and is forecast to obliterate the Aurora, Illinois record for January 30 afternoon cold – by eight degrees.

10-Day Temperature Outlook for the Conterminous U.S.

Carbon dioxide seems to be having difficulty trapping heat these days. Climate experts want to respond to the record cold by cutting off the fuel supply which millions of people depend on to stay alive day to day.

Arctic sea ice volume gain from January 1-23 has been second highest in the Danish Meteorological Institute record, just behind 2008.

The November gain was the highest on record, by a wide margin.
