Understanding 5C Warming

Taxpayer funded climate experts tell us that Earth is on track to warm 5C this century. This is based on the fact that they are complete morons and are unable to do mathematics beyond a kindergarten level.

Putting the decimal point in the correct position is almost as tricky as understanding the difference between 2305 and 2035. ™IPCC

  1. To give one a sense of how physically unreal the claim is I spent a few seconds knocking up this graph:

The first half of the plot is approx. what happened and the 2nd half is what they claim will happen next.

    • Dave N says:

Actually, I think they’re not predicting it to be linear, which would make it look even more stupid.

      • Yes the forcing relationship is logarithmic, which of course makes the claim even more far fetched. However, they would defend against that problem by asserting that there is an enormous amount of heating ‘still in the pipeline’. It just hasn’t come out of its cubby hole yet.

    • Lance says:

when CO2 alters the earths orbit around the sun to much closer, that graph may become correct……/sarc just in case!!

“complete morons and are unable to do mathematics beyond a kindergarten level”
I’m not sure about that – they all seem to be pretty good at figuring out how much grant money they want.

  3. I prefer the term “megalomaniacs” to “morons”, but I admit it is a close judgment call.

“Imbecile was a medical category of people with moderate to severe mental retardation, as well as a type of criminal. The term arises from the Latin word imbecillus, meaning weak, or weak-minded. It included people with an IQ of 26–50, between “moron” (IQ of 51–70) and “idiot” (IQ of 0–25).”

Calling them morons, is being kind.
