Except for the Communist left coast, the drought is over.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Except for California, the permanent SW drought has evaporated!
Well, California and Idaho.
Idaho is getting slammed with snow.
and we hear nothing but wailing and gnashing of teeth from ha-who?
I’m in the white zone in W. Colorado, and have had 5.14″ of water precipitation the first three months of this water year, Oct 1 – Dec 31, 2013; compared to 4″ for normal. +28.5%
Plus I ended last year with 1.53″ Snow Water Equivalent (SWE), and have 2.8″ SWE now with more coming tonight.
Central Texas could still do with a lot of rain. Austin might be green on the surface, but the lakes are very low. Need soaking rains.
“Except for the Communist left coast, the drought is over.”
Maybe there IS something to the ‘vengeful Gaia’ theory.
The drought appears to be moving west. [sarc on] Maybe next year the drought will be over the North Pacific. [sarc off]
Maybe the relatively low PDO anomalies of 2013 and 2014 (so far) are to blame on the drier conditions of the West Coast. The rest of the country seems to have been positively affected by the polar vortex.
I’m guessing you won’t hear much from Stink Poogress, either
