UP here in the UP it almost feels like spring, all we need to do is get rid of the snow and ice by the way it got up into the 50’s Monday now the snow is only 3 feet deep my wife says it’s 4 feet the weather is great no insects for 6 months other then a couple of fly’s that must have heard about the global warming we’re having

Hey Steven, that is an amazing shift! From historical highest to historical lowest in three years (inclusive.) For what it is worth, it is not unusual for chaotic systems to make major swings just as they transition from one metastable state to another. One small question, please; is the graph showing raw HCN numbers or is it “adjusted” data? (The “adjustments” are so biased that I much prefer anything raw over the tortures that the “climate scientists” inflict.)
Thanks Jason, for answering my question in the post below. Now, do you understand why the major swings happen and, if the system is chaotic, why they don’t just destroy the system? Or is “chaotic” an approximation?
I don’t get your point. We were urged to “save our winters” and we did (sarc). I hope it means that I won’t have some eco loons knocking on my doors to get me to sign some new petition.
That sampling is not even a blip on the geological record. When the ECO-fearnographers give up THEIR private jets, personal-enriching-carbon-credits, mansions, and act as though they actually BELIEVE the poop they are spouting, I might listen.

This kind of dramatic changes are present everywhere in climate data.
