It has been 40 years since Israel had a mass school shooting. They take a subtly different approach to protecting their children. See if you can spot the difference.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

No big deal. Looks like my cul-de-sac.
Looks like an M1 carbine.
The children all have concealed carry permits?
A subtle method that Israel’s eduction system uses to try and stop young impressionable kids growing-up to be just sheeple.
Children can’t be victims for the fascists if their protected by a well armed teacher. I love women with guns.
Hmmm….no windows?…a big rock?…an out-of-shape teacher the kids aren’t even paying attention to?…poison ivy?…fifty foot walls?…no, wait, I’ll get it, any second…oh, I see, it’s the tall ninja with the long hair, in the middle of them…very clever…we should do that…(no, I don’t get out much–what has that got to do with anything?)
Harry, you seem to have been taking happy pills. Where can I get some?
http://messiahsmandate.org/are-israeli-teachers-armed/
Yes, the Splodey-Head often takes the form of such non sequitur. Thanks for playing!
“Secondly, they are not armed in the classroom. Is that really the image you want to imprint on the minds of six-year-olds?”
What’s wrong with that image? Does the writer suffer from hoplophobia?
Not shown: the two years of military training the teacher received in the IDF.
I lived there for a year, working as a consultant. My kids went to school there, and roamed the neighborhood the way we used to as children. I NEVER worried for the kids’ safety, they way I am forced to here. There are people carrying guns everywhere, and (we learned) many more with concealed weapons. And while there are car break-ins, and other assorted thefts, there is virtually no violent crime. We were comfortably able to allow our children more freedom there than they have ever enjoyed here.
The left loves to deny the statistics that show violent crime decreases when/where guns are legal. But Israel is irrefutable proof. The simple fact is that it would be supremely stupid to assault anyone, because of the likelihood that they would be well equipped to defend themselves. And even if the person you attacked was vulnerable, there would be a high likelihood that someone nearby would make you regret your choice.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read that it can’t be a teacher, it must be a security guard. Which completely misses the point that they use armed security to keep the kids safe. It doesn’t matter if it is a teacher, or security, it just is more cost effective they are one in the same.
Plus, I have seen an interview with the guy who is in charge of testing teachers in Israel who are armed, so there are armed teachers there.
I went to school in the Los Angeles Unified School District where there is an LA School PD. It was founded in 1948.
http://www.laspd.com/
My schools had unarmed safety officers with radios, and armed mobile LASPD units would patrol areas and be ready to respond where needed. The first backup unit to arrive at the Rodney King incident was actually an LASPD unit. Though lucky for them, they left after other units showed up, and weren’t involved.
There haven’t been any mass shootings in the LAUSD that I recall. You never hear that the 2nd largest school district in the nation has its own armed police force to protect students. That’s of course because the discussion isn’t about better protecting students, but about taking away gun rights.
Since when have would-be totalitarians ever bothered to tell the truth?
GEE, Bankers, steel, shipping and powder (gun powder?) grabbed control of the media and two years later, on April 4, 1917 the USA abandoned its policy of isolationism. The U.S. Senate votes in support of the measure to declare war on Germany. The House concurs two days later.
Seems Eisenhower was about forty years late with his warning about the about the “military– industrial complex”
If you bother to look you find a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (Rhodes-Milner Round Table) or a banker or both on the Board of Directors of most of the news media.
There is quite a bit of overlap between the Rhodes-Milner group and the Fabians.
Lord Stern, is president of the British Academy**, Vice-Chair of the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate. and Chair of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics (LSE). Richard Stern, former Vice-President, World Bank is his brother and he was the Chief Economist and Senior Vice-President of the World Bank from 2000 to 2003.
Lord Stern is the guy who gave a speech to Congress with ‘warnings’ of the economic damage CAGW would cause. He wrote The Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change, a 700-page report published on 30 October 2006. Stern believes that 5–6 degrees of temperature increase is “a real possibility.” (And if you believe he really believes that I have a bridge I want to sell)
On 11 December 2013, Stern was awarded the 2013 Stephen H. Schneider Award for Outstanding Climate Science Communication. This is quite interesting since he doesn’t even have a grasp on simple facts available on the internet. Lord Stern, ‘Scaremonger in chief’, exposed by simple blunders: How come “the world’s leading expert on climate change” doesn’t even know how much carbon dioxide there currently is in the air, wonders Christopher Booker. (And they call US IGNORANT?)
How ever we get these lovely articles. One from Think Progress: May 13, 2013 May 13 News: 30 Million People Displaced By Climate- And Weather-Related Events Last Year
Just think Steve if THEY can use &*%$ earthquakes as in tallying up people “Displaced by CAGW” we can certainly use this years frozen USA as an example of the on coming Glaciation.
This recent article from the Fabian Society is a real eye opener: How our pensions could tackle climate change
So they want the UK pensioners to ditch the fortune 500 companies and invest in Windmills and Solar farms??? Pensioners who are already dying by the droves from fuel poverty? Good Grief how much more sickening can these people get?
– Sorry I went looking for the date when Lord Stern addressed Congress and came up with all this instead. Amazing how small the group actually is at the top, how interconnected and how grotesque.
**The British Academy supports and champions excellence in the humanities and social sciences awhile it’s president Lord Stern supports and champions the killing off of as many Useless Eaters as he can.
Darn I manage four links again and got booted…. Sorry Steve, haven’t finished my morning dose of caffeine yet I was too busy sputtering with anger from what I was reading.
They let teachers wear T- Shirts.
Israel gun ownership 7.3% firearm related homicides 0.94 per 100,000
USA gun ownership 89.0% firearm related homicides 3.60 per 100,000
Tricky statistic, Richard.
Homicide by firearm discharge for non-black Americans is under 2 per 100,000. Rate is 15 per 100k for black Americans. Indeed, it approaches 30 per 100k for male, black Americans.
I suspect the 7.3% ownership does not include military weapons stored in the home? Plus, some gubmint numbers have included KIAs, making our homicide rate overall appear higher. Higher temperatures or higher homicides; same agenda.
So why are black Americans more likely to kill people with guns than white Americans are ?
