“Polls say that Sanders beats Trump 58% to 38%.”

Well, I guess that’s what happens when you run polls inside a bunch of prisons.

  2. Henry P says:

I am not sure what you are trumpateering here, but I don’t think any woman deserves to be called a bimbo? So where is your favorite candidate going to get the women’s vote from? They are all going to vote for Hillary? Never mind the jews, latino’s, mexicans, blacks, African- Americans, etc, etc…..You are living in dream world. Maybe you must do a study on the composition of your population?

  3. omanuel says:

Again, Trump and Cruz need to join forces to remove the US National Academy of Sciences from control of US policy, exactly as President Eisenhower warned in his farewell address to the nation on 17 JAN 1961.

    Never believe the intentionally ignorant.

  5. Science is in the business of testing hypotheses, and these Wayback Machine predictions are truly refreshing to compare with the reality that blindsided them.

  6. Oddschecker.com has Hillary at WAY better than even money, 4 to 11 odds, followed by Trump averaging the reverse, and Bernie fourth at 25 to 1 odds. Sure enuf, bookies were laying 1 to 3 odds on Bush to crush Dukakis. Final Score: Math 1, Advertising 0

  7. Random Schmoe says:

Let’s run another Willie Horton ad! Those polls will change in a hurry!!

  8. gator69 says:

If it was a CNN poll, you must understand that the sample size was far too small to be significant.

    • darrylb says:

Gator, what is the sample size they use?
I believe the sample size was at one time supposed to be over 1300 to have a 95% confidence interval of plus or minus two percentage points. But, I could be wrong, and things have changed. .
The population has become so skewed that sufficient randomness is not as easily achieved. I think the sample size should be larger now. The sample gets much more biased because fewer people are using landlines, which could cause a bias economically, by age, by lifestyle etc.
Mailings and internet surveys also have various innate biases.

    • Mark Luhman says:

Funny in February/March the polls had Carter beating Regan but 60 plus to 30 plus. Somehow I think today’s events helped Trump, not Hillary. Obama comment certain were no help. I support Hillary for indictment, not nomination. I can now understand how Hillary thinks too many people are in jail since that door could quite possible the jail doors could slam shut on her. If we had an operating criminal justice system we would have Hillary already been charged, but welcome to the largest banana republic on earth, I would love to blame the Hillary, Obama, and the Democrats but to be fair the Republican elite have a great deal to do with the present state of affairs where someone who can openly violate our laws. yet somehow be exempt from them. Not being a Trump supporter and can say this thank God for Trump because he certain has brought that out into the light of day.

  9. Steve Case says:

Well Tony, I suppose I should thank you for reminding me that Wisconsin went for Dukakis.

  10. bucephelus says:

Bush didn’t have record disapproval ratings like Trump. And Trump has no intention of trying to unite the GOP. All of that combined with the possibility of a third party conservative means that Trump’s campaign is stillborn as soon as he gets the nomination.

    • AndyG55 says:

      Childish wishes..

Get used to the idea of Trump as your next President..

      Or do you prefer Hillary.

      • bucephelus says:

No I don’t want Hillary. That’s why I oppose Trump. He’s already losing to Hillary in Utah. Utah! Trump will put red states in play for the Democrats. He is showing no intention to unite conservatives. Last night he attacked Cruz’s wife.

        • GalfromMass says:

          Redux:
          Heidi Cruz aka Hillary Clinton

History will repeat if Cruz becomes President. A very ambitious wife in tow.

  11. Lou says:

Nothing points to that Trump would beat Hillary in the general election. I guess we will find out over the next 7 months if anything changes. Not really a big fan of Trump but not even a bigger fan of Clinton, easily the most corrupted one ever to run for POTUS in my lifetime. I still don’t know where exactly Trump stands on a lot of things. He says a lot of things but doesn’t really say how he plans to do them. Hillary, on the other hand, I know exactly what to expect… she truly hates anyone that do not support her… Watch out.

    • gator69 says:

Hopefully Trump has evolved in the past 7 years…

On Larry King Live on April 15, 2009, King asked Trump his opinion of Obama and Trump turned to the bailout in part of his answer:

“I do agree with what they’re doing with the banks. Whether they fund them or nationalize them, it doesn’t matter, but you have to keep the banks going,” Trump said.

      http://www.politifact.com/florida/statements/2015/sep/15/club-growth/did-donald-trump-support-wall-street-bailout-club-/

This is what concerns me about Trump, well that and a warehouse full of others. But I will still support him over the alternative come November. We are not electing a Pope, or so I keep telling myself.

      • GalfromMass says:

Past, present and future candidates have warehouses full of this kind of stuff. Seem to be the norm.

John Kerry: “I was for the Iraq war before I was against it” …

Barack Obama: Campaigned against the Bush tax cuts; then extended all of them.

Hillary Clinton: 2002 she approved and voted for going to war in Iraq. 2007 she said: “Our president rushed us into war in Iraq.” 2004 she said: “I believe marriage is not just a bond, but a sacred bond between a man and a woman. 2013 – now not so much.

        • gator69 says:

No offense Gal, but Trump (for a “republican”) brings this sort of thing to a whole new level, as he usually does.

        • AndyG55 says:

          Hey Gator..
any idea where all these extra people now posting came from ???

        • gator69 says:

any idea where all these extra people now posting came from

Not sure who to whom you refer, but I get the occassional burst of comments that have been held in moderation. Trump is the hot topic now, and is bringing out even the most reticent to comment.

I just wish Trumpeters would stop attacking anyone who is not a Trumpeter.

As I have said, he is not even my third pick, but I will still support him if he is the alternative to the D. I have held my tongue when it comes to the Donald’s past, and I will continue to do so, unless I keep getting attacked for not being a Trumpeter. I get enough Donald, without his zealots always being in my face.

        • Andy, it’s a “Drudgealanche” from Drudge Report link to Tony’s post on falling sea level under the headline:

CLAIM: Sea level falling for past six years…

As of now it’s still on the Drudge page.

  12. gator69 says:

I have had to give presentations the past two days (another tomorrow). This event draws a “diverse” group of guests, and it is one of my duties as an outreach, to be one of them. One of the other speakers is a representative of SEIU, who ripped our governor, his wife, and banks during her speech yesterday. I knew much of what she was telling the audience was utter BS, about the governor, about his wife, and about banks. Today she had our State’s Attorney just offstage during her presentation. And her presentation today was about a third of the length of yesterday’s speech, and said little about our governor, nothing about his wife, and nothing about banks. And I also noticed she had no goons with clipboards in the audience today.

Some days lawyers are worth what they charge.

  13. nobama says:

I think Trump will Trash Hildebeast in votes by citizens. But that is just the beginning of the voting. Don’t forget the dead vote, the illegal vote, the multi-state vote, and the super voters, who, like super delegates, vote 50 ballots at a time.

    Don’t you see?
That is why I said that this voting for people and parties is so silly.
We should demand to be able to vote on issues.
With the coming of the internet, this is possible, if we all stand up and demand it?
