NOAA’s Namibia Fraud

Yesterday I covered NOAA’s Angola fraud, where NOAA claimed Angola had their hottest month ever, despite not having any thermometer data to back it up.  Namibia is just south of Angola and is quite a bit larger than Texas. NOAA also claimed August was the hottest ever in Namibia, despite having no thermometer data in Namibia.

NOAA has no coverage on about half of the land surface of this planet.

Satellites on the other hand cover almost the entire earth, including all of Namibia. RSS TLT satellite data showed August was 11th warmest since 1978 in Namibia, behind 1995, 1992, 1993, 1988, 2013, 1980, 2001, 1981, 1990 and 1985. Namibia was 0.54C cooler in August than August 1995.

As with Angola, NOAA is committing blatant fraud. There is no reason to be using imaginary, politically motivated, surface data, when we have actual satellite data which shows no warming this century.

You write “There is no reason to be using imaginary, politically motivated” … sure there are reasons …. there just are not any *good* reasons or scientifically valid ones.

  2. LexingtonGreen says:

Lord I hope this gets the attention of academia as well as Ted Cruz from the congressional over site perspective.

  3. AndyG55 says:

Also look at the following areas where the land only “blue.. below average ” basically disappears and becomes “pink – warmer than average”

America, Brazil, Australia, Scandinavia, India, Italy etc etc

  4. Jim Miller says:

red square on the east of Africa is not consistent with local temperture reporting for the month
with minimum temperatures below average almost every day

  5. Dave N says:

    I have a translation of NOAA’s acronym:

    Nearly Outright Artificial Averaging

Sums it up perfectly; or in NOAA’s case: they don’t (please withhold your groans)

“NOAA also claimed August was the hottest ever in Namibia, despite having no thermometer data in Namibia.”

Maybe, but NOAA has Mr. Michael Heita of Oukwanyama Traditional Authority and he stated unequivocally that “it is warmer today than before”. *)

The neighboring Ondonga Traditional Authority didn’t take a position on global warming, distracted by the simmering border dispute with the Oukwanyama Authority caused by their 2004 attempt to install a headman in the village of Ekoka.

Climate change experts say the border situation has been heating up because of global warming. **)

Also, South African climate change expert Dr. Neville Sweijd worries what would happen if “suddenly, the sea level rises and waves wash everything away” because of global warming.

    That would be horrible.

*) Namibia feels effects of climate change

    The Namibian

Michael Heita from the Ohangwena Region strongly believes climate change is real.

Heita, who is the spokesperson of the Oukwanyama Traditional Authority, told The Namibian that many years ago in the North, winters used to be very cold but now it only gets cold for a short while and then gets warmer again.

“This means that it is warmer today than before. It is clear there are changes in the atmosphere,” said Heita.

He said he has also noticed that when it rains today and oshanas are filled with water, they dry up quickly whereas they used to hold water longer in the past.

Dr Neville Sweijd of the Benguela Environment Fisheries Interaction Training (Benefit) programme says climate has been changing over a long period of time and these changes are inevitable.

He says it is likely that climate change is being caused by human activities as well as natural variability.

But Sweijd said the cause of climate change was less important than the actual consequences, especially if climate changed suddenly.

“It is the scale and the rate that are important.

If, suddenly, the sea level rises and waves wash everything away, that will be very threatening as we cannot adapt,” he said.

**) Namibia: Drought Raises Tribal Tensions
    By Oswald Shivute
    The Namibian

The Ondonga Traditional Authority has resolved to drive the chairman of the Oukwanyama Traditional Authority, George Nelulu, and Ohangwena Governor Usko Nghaamwa out of areas under its jurisdiction in the Oshikoto region where both have farmed since the early 1980s to make way for their drought-stricken subjects.

Nelulu, who is also the senior headman of Eudaneko district in Oukwanyama, and Nghaamwa are among several non-Oshindonga speakers who have been identified for eviction, a move that is already raising tribal and political tensions.

    • Colorado Wellington says:

For those not familiar with Namibia’s tribal politics, the above photo does not show Chairman Nelulu and Governor Nghaamwa being driven off.

I don’t have a clue who these women are but if the men below are Nelulu and Nghaamwa, I’d try to drive them off, too.

It’s an organisation where “Goebbels great lie” was a founding philosophy.

  8. Fred says:

    Every fraud has a tell.

NASA’s temperature scam tell is the word “calculate”.

They don’t actually measure global temps, because they don’t have sufficient data, so they resort to “calculating” temps to a one one hundredth of a degree.

    The Bullshit is piled deep
