Science 1974 : Global Cooling Catastrophic

In 1974, scientists blamed droughts, floods, blizzards, tornadoes typhoons and hurricanes on global cooling and a new ice age.

Government scientists now blame global warming for the exact same things, and have cleverly erased the 1940 to 1970 global cooling.

Global warming/climate change is the biggest scandal in science history, and the people behind it need to be called out and exposed.

Help!!! I’ve been banned on Facebook for being “abusive.” Here is my recent article. Anyone that reads my posts knows that they have been directed at exposing the climate bullies.

Once in a while it is good for people to comment about the actual blog post

Actually, about 95+% of the comments are both relevant and in agreement with your excellent work.

Tony, regarding the NH graph which shows dramatic NH cooling; is there anyway to find out what stations composed that graphic, and verify two things; how and why those stations were either adjusted or dropped to form the current ” official” view of historic temperature?

I have challenged Zeke and other warmists to show exactly how the contradictory graphics changed. They never even respond cogently.

In November the consensus was la Nina
    Means dry winter for California.
Drought ends. More snow and rain coming.

All these bogus thermodynamic gymnastics (cold to hot flow, perpetual looping, energy from nowhere), misapplications of S-B equations (Q=σ(T_TSI^4-T_surface^4) / 4 = σT_effective^4, non-participating media, relative areas), the absurd multi-concentric atmospheric shells acting as thermal diodes or gated transistors are desperate attempts to justify two notions:

    1) That at 396 W/m^2 the surface/ground/earth loses heat, i.e. cools so rapidly (it doesn’t) that icy Armageddon would result if not for the 333 W/m^2 RGHE cold to hot perpetual loop downwelling from the sky and warming the ground (it’s colder and can’t),

    2) That the earth is 33C warmer with an atmosphere than without,

    http://writerbeat.com/articles/15582-To-be-33C-or-not-to-be-33C

two notions that are either 1) patently false and/or 2) contradicted by physical evidence.

      LOL!!!

“The surface of the earth is warm because the atmosphere provides an insulating blanket, a thermal resistance, no different from the insulation in the ceiling and walls of a house with the temperature differential determined per the equation Q = U * A * dT, simple to verify and demonstrate.” (from your second link)

A vacuum is a better insulator than air, if you are talking about conduction or convection heat transfer. So by your account, the atmosphere should make the Earth’s surface cooler, not warmer. Leaving radiation out of the picture gives wrong answers.

      LOLOLOL!!!

“The 333 W/m^2 upwelling/downwelling constitutes a 100% efficient perpetual energy loop violating thermodynamics.”

100% efficiency? What work is being done by this?

I think this part– “cleverly erased the 1970 to 1940 global cooling”–has the dates inadvertently reversed.

  5. Andy DC says:

The cooling actually got quite a bit “worse” after 1975 and culminated in three consecutive very severe winters from 1977-1979. That is why alarmists love to pick 1979 as their starting date, since 1979 was perhaps the coldest year of the 20th Century.

The only two winters that I recall seeing below zero F temperatures all happened after 1979. True, the first one was 1980. The other one was 1993. The 1993 one the coldest temps were in mid-March, to boot and the lowest temps were colder than the January 1980 ones. I’ve seen plenty of single digits above zero F and even more between 10 and 20. Nearly every year has days below zero C, both the high temps and the low temps.

This is not about the weather in your neck of the woods.
