White House Continues Their Efforts To Intimidate Scientists Into Compliance With Their Political Agenda

Joe Obama Stalin has an agenda, and he expects scientists to comply.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Sunday called climate change perhaps the world’s ‘‘most fearsome’’ destructive weapon and mocked those who deny its existence or question its causes, comparing them to people who insist the Earth is flat.  In a speech to Indonesian students, civic leaders and government officials, Kerry tore into climate change skeptics. He accused them of using shoddy science and scientists to delay steps needed to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases at the risk of imperiling the planet.

No wonder he had to make that speech in Indonesia, if he had made it in Boston the people there would have dumped him in Boston harbor like they once did that other King’s tea.

    • Andy Oz says:

Second that. From the Jakarta post.
““Because of climate change, it’s no secret that today, Indonesia is one of the most vulnerable countries on Earth,” Kerry said

The US’ top diplomat gave a litany of recent weather disasters, particularly flooding and typhoons in Asia, and their impact on commerce, agriculture, fishing and daily living conditions for billions of people.”

Indonesia does not have typhoons!!! It is on the equator. Typhoons and cyclones have their genesis north and south of the Archipelago. Kerry is a world class shoddy politician.

That sent a chill up my spine. I had not seen this. What cold blooded a$$es these people are. I count three tazes….for nothing. There was NOTHING this person said AT ALL. Second, regardless, we should be able to say Whatever we want and ask ANY question. Unless you pony up to bow at their feet, expect more of this assault, harassment, attacks and lies from Dims.

  2. Kepler says:

Maybe we are witnessing the start of a new natural phenomenon which I’ll call the “Kerry Effect”. Like the Gore Effect it results in colder temperatures but in a different way.

Whenever Kerry travels somewhere to make a speech on climate change a major volcanic eruption precedes him and screws up his schedule.

Heaven forbid that Kerry and Gore should ever travel together. Who knows what kind of climate change hell might be released.

  5. bubbagyro says:

Just as “Gigolo John” was encouraging and defending Communism in SE Asia in the 70s, which then led to the slaughter of ten million people under Ho Chi Minh and Pol Pot, so he is now one of the mouthpieces of the Great Climate Taxation. Millions have died already of starvation and in privation-desperation wars as a result of his eugenicist policies. Kerry is a truly evil man who strives to keep “the unfortunate element” (as Woodrow Wilson’s regime referred to them), in reduced numbers and situated in concentrated areas where he can control them.

Here is one of Kerry’s elitist heroes to that effect:
“If we are to maintain a race that is to be made of up of capable, efficient and independent individuals and family groups we must courageously cut off lines of heredity that have been proved to be undesirable, by isolation or sterilization.”
—Henry Rogers Seager, professor of economics at Columbia University, making arguments for the defense of the minimum wage, July, 1910.

  6. John B., M.D. says:

The article tones down Kerry’s ridiculousness because he actually said this: “Climate change can now be considered another weapon of mass destruction, perhaps even the world’s most fearsome weapon of mass destruction.”

  8. ChrisV says:

I am constantly amazed at the stupidity of some people. People like Kerry and Obama make me embarrased to be an American. If they or any other man made warmists want to prove their point let them have a prime time televised debate with a scientific or climate skeptic to try to prove their point. They NEVER have or will because they know they will get their ass handed to them like every other warmists who debated have (eg. Bill Nye) and the gig will be up. If they were so confident, (about 97% they say) they should be willing to debate at every opportunity and the fact that they don’t says alot.

  10. Myron Mesecke says:

I read this crap in this morning newspaper. I’m so sick of these idiots never presenting no stitch of data to back up their attacks on the level headed skeptics that offer reams of data the prove the problem is overblown.

  11. John Kerry’s condescending elitist manner is actually helping the skeptics? The 900 comments on Yahoo’s same article are seething with contempt.
Winter temps (Dec Jan Feb) since 2006 show in the blue areas colder temps since the Pacific Ocean cooled.
Less moisture from the Ocean allows more radiation of heat at night than solar gain during the day.
The Arctic does not radiate much with white snow on the ground so actually gains heat during the day but still well below freezing.
(does not include the 2014 third coldest winter since 1899 in the USA since it is the longer term trend that is important.)

  13. Andy DC says:

It is iironic that Kerry’s hysteria is taking place during one of the coldest winters on record. After a brief thaw, it is supposed to turn very cold again over the weekend and next week is supposed to be extremely cold. That should ensure that this winter will go down in the record books as one of the coldest on record.

There are several cities in Illinois averaging 17 degrees below normal for February. That is after a very cold January.

  14. G. Donson says:

John Kerry certainly is no brain. He only got into the college he attended, because of the intervention of several prominent politicians. He has no concept of exactly what he is talking about. He is just a mouthpiece for the left. Where is the evidence..there is not one piece of conclusive evidence. Not one!

What have Obama, Kerry and Biden in common?
The two most common character flaws in failed politicians: arrogance combined with ignorance.

  22. Rosco says:

It is simple to see whether or not climate scientists have got it right.

Here is the “Greenhouse Effect” including mathematics

    http://www.atmos.washington.edu/2002Q4/211/notes_greenhouse.html

It says radiation from one source capable of heating an object to a certain temperature combines with radiation from another source capable of heating the same object to the same temperature combine to produce a temperature calculated from the sum of the 2 radiation powers.

That ought to be easy to show in a laboratory.

They claim sceptics deny “science” – well this is their indisputable “science” – show all of us it happens in an experiment.

That should be “scientific” enough for anyone – show that the claimed effect is real !

If it doesn’t it is junk pseudoscience. I’ve tried it and it does not happen. I’ve analysed the results and offer indisputable proof their fundamental claim is not “science” at all.

The rest of the story is junk if the basic claim is wrong !

    • cynical seamus says:

I decided to follow Rosco’s link and read the following (paraphrased):
Without an atmosphere, the earth would emit the same energy as it receives (from the sun) to maintain equilibrium. No argument there.
With an atmosphere (see second sentence in “The Greenhouse Effect”), the energy emitted by the earth is absorbed by the atmosphere, which then re-radiates it, half into space and half back down to earth. OK, it’s a simplification, but don’t have a problem with it at this stage.
The next paragraph and the following drawing both describe the energy incident on the earth as 239.7 W/m2. However, when this energy is emitted by the Earth and absorbed by the atmosphere, both the radiation into space AND that radiated back down to Earth are given as 239.7 W/m2.
This is wonderful! Nature has developed a system that can output twice the energy it is supplied with. 😉

  25. Bruce of Newcastle says:

Purest irony is the recent NSF study looking at Americans’ understanding of science.

Here is an excerpt of some analysis by Prof Jim Lindgren reported today:

Knowing the Earth Revolves Around the Sun & It Takes a Year by Political Group, 2012:
    Conservative Republican 67.3%
    Republican 61.1%
    Independent 53.7%
    Democrat 48.4%
    Conservative Democrat 27.1%
    (link)

Less than half of Democrats know the Earth orbits the Sun once each year…

I wonder which half Kerry falls into.

  26. Gamecock says:

The State Department’s role is to make America look stupid . . . all around the world.

  27. Anto says:

From a quick investigation, Kerry is flying on Airforce Two, a Boeing 757. His 6 day trip is in excess of 20,000 miles. The average plane is said to produce around 244 pounds of CO2 per mile travelled. So, Kerry’s hypocrisy on this jaunt adds up to 2,440 tons of CO2. For reference, the average American is said to produce about 22 tons of CO2 per annum.

  28. The argument about global warming has morphed into climate change. This subtle shift was necessary because the warming has paused over the last 15 or so years, even while CO2 concentrations have continued to increase. It has become obvious CO2 is not driving the warming or the climate.

The hysteria about melting ice caps, sea level rise, stronger storms, droughts, floods, forest fires, etc., has not materialized:
    * ice continues to accumulate at record levels in the Antarctic wherein lies 90% of the world’s ice inventory. Meanwhile, the Arctic Ice Cap has survived decades of predictions of its demise.
    * sea level rise according to Nils-Axil Morner, the world’s leading authority on sea level change, has not changed at all.
    * annual accumulated cyclonic energy is at historical lows, as are the overall number and strength of hurricanes and tornadoes.
    * Droughts and floods continue their march in tune with oceanic oscillations, such as, La Ninas and the Indian Ocean Dipole.
    * Forest fire activity remains at the mercy of lightning strikes, underbrush stockpiles and human interferences.

There is not one piece of empirical evidence linking human activities to the climate – NOT ONE. The only arguments for climate change are based on anecdotes, computer projections, Hockey Sticks, and consensus.
    * Anecdotes are short, obscure historical or biographical accounts. Anecdotes cannot be traced to one another. Anecdotes are not proof.
    * Computer projections are mental gymnastics based on dubious initial conditions. The computer projections have failed, because their only input is greenhouse gases. Computer projections are not proof.
    * Hockey Sticks are the cobbling together of two unrelated proxy data sets. These FrankenGraphs, which would have received an “F” in Junior High School science class 50 years ago, are incredibly embraced by many scientists today. Hockey Sticks are human fabrications, not proof.
    * Consensus is an opinion or position reached by a group as a whole. Millenia and centuries ago the consensus believed the Earth was the center of the Universe and Solar System. Consensus is not proof.

Only 3.27% of all CO2 generated comes from man, the other 96.73% comes from nature. Only 0.001% of water vapor comes from man; the other 99.999% comes from nature. Water vapor by a factor of 26 has more of a spectral absorption bandwidth or GGE than does CO2. After adding the contributions of methane, nitrous oxide, and CFCs it turns out only 0.28% of the GGE comes from man, the other 99.72% comes from nature. If man ceased to exist, the reduction in the GGE would be hardly noticeable.

The myth of global warming, climate change – or whatever they are calling it today – continues, because of the trillions of dollars that would be lost and millions of leaf-raking jobs eliminated, if this charade were to be exposed.
    * Banks and brokerage houses reap huge commissions from it.
    * Scam artists like Maurice Strong thrive on it, creating schemes like carbon trading which suck billions of dollars from consumer‘s wallets.
    * Politicians need it to save us from imaginary hobgoblins and to justify tax increases to fund largesse programs that garner votes.
    * Many scientists keep busy by grazing at the trough of free grant money made available, only if it can be shown that man causes climate change.
    * Corporations need it to sell cures for which there is no disease, and fatten up their bottom lines.
    * The alternative energy, Green Building and sustainability industries came into existence and thrive off of it.
    * The news media needs it to keep the frenzy going, the ratings up, and ad revenue coming in.
    * The United Nations needs it to forge its role as the leader in One World Governance.
    * Environmentalists, anti-industrialists, and other Communists need it in order to cut the legs out from underneath the evil, Capitalist United States and level the playing field for the world‘s less fortunate nations.
This is the hideous symbiosis of individuals, groups, businesses and governments that need the myth of climate change kept alive for their very financial survival. Millions of jobs and trillions of dollars are at stake. They are not going to go away, so long as they can keep the tube in their arms.
