Maggots have been used for decades to clean wounds. They serve a purpose of more value than Suzuki’s rants.
I would venture to say that Mr Suzuki would no longer support those repulsive comments. This would be a natural effect of growing up, having children and developing a healthy appreciation for the goodness of humanity. Or maybe I’m just an optimist.
… you’re an optimist …
+1
He hasn’t grown up. Witness an example of his blatherings from just 4 years ago:
http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2010/09/28/dan-gardner-the-essential-error-of-david-suzuki/
“The natural systems that sustain us are infinitely complex.”
Yet:
““Every scientist I talk to agrees with me,” Suzuki declares, “that we’re already past the 59th minute.” We must drastically change the way we live, immediately, or we are doomed.”
Unless by some miracle they (and he) are able to understand the “infinitely complex” to know that “we’re already past the 59th minute”, or they’re complete morons.
It’s the usual “irrational humans can’t cope with not understanding” mechanism: fooling themselves into thinking that they do understand, that humans (collectively) are the cause of it, and must do something about it.
Suzuki then went on to have FIVE children. And several homes I do believe. David Suzuki, the man who likes to live it large. Suzuki is an environmentalist? He is concerned about over-use of the word’s resources? Oh really! You can only laugh. 🙂
“David Suzuki a man of property”

“The two Suzukis: There’s Saint Suzuki, the one you see on CBC, and Secret Suzuki, the capitalist millionaire ”

Actually , that would make him one fat maggot , and I have no problem with that !
Takes one to know one …
Mr Suzuki here’s maggot I prepared earlier for you –
“If we don’t change, our species will not survive… Frankly, we may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for industrial civilization to collapse.
Maurice Strong, September 1, 1997 edition of National Review magazine”
And you just ate it up.
They should just declare the entire decade from 1967-1976 an intellectual disaster area and schedule it for demolition.
Pave that whole miserable pseudo-paradise and put up a parking lot.
N.B. Have you ever noticed how these documentaries from that period always feature students sitting around the professor-guru like this guy, and they’re all utterly slack-jawed with no affect whatsoever? And the professor-guru always solicits questions from the whispy-haired coeds in the crowd with the insipid little-girl voices, presumably in hopes of schmoozing one of ’em into bed that evening.
Yeah g2-9ed9acc685824c6663c51c5b093476cc, it’s like a 1972 hippie commune. “Far out man, I’m stoked, pass the pipe over,” you can almost see the smoke rising as Suzuki says “the one thing that I’ve gotten off on…” Dude, we’re like maggots. Whoa! Not groovy! Maggots! “Second order maggots. This is blowing my mind. And we’re about to go into an ice age. We’re all going to die. We’re all going to freeze. And be eaten by maggots. Because of the greedy oil companies. End capitalism now!”
“If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder by the year 2000…This is about twice what it would take to put us in an ice age.” -Kenneth E.F. Watt, Earth Day 1970
“In ten years all important animal life in the sea will be extinct. Large areas of coastline will have to be evacuated because of the stench of dead fish.” -Paul Ehrlich, Earth Day 1970
“They should just declare the entire decade from 1967-1976 an intellectual disaster area and schedule it for demolition.”
It’s not just that decade; witness other hysterical alarmists, some of which were hysterical back in that decade, and still are now (Ehrlich being a prime example).
It’s not the decade that needs demolition; it’s the recognition and praise given to those alarmists, despite them being spectacularly wrong on numerous occasions.
Right. The Chicken Littles have been wrong on numerous and ALL occasions. Never once has a doomsayer EVER got it right. A batting average of zero. Not good. Or actually, it is good, because we’d be living in Armageddon otherwise.
David your a maggot on crach he looks like something from back in the 60s a hippy who knows nothing about climate science only to get paid to spin rubbish these are the morons likes to pretend to tell the future to scare us here if we ask him does he know the lottery numbers next week instead he might be useful there I know the boys in the white coats needed I really think the crack and weed he’s smoking done this dude mental harm like the rest of them ie the Hansen’s and the Al Gore plus the Obama’s out there poor baskets I do feel sorry that they turned into greedy blood sucking money grabbing low life’s who taking money from us through are taxes
He gets off on the fact that 10th level maggots are big wheels.
Brown acid, man. All I can say is, watch out for the brown acid, man.
Well what do you expect a maggot to do?
“As a maggot, Dr Suzuki, what do you think of the human race?”
