Understanding How Arctic Ice Affects Climate

The winters of 2012 and 2015 were very mild, and the winters of 2014 and 2016 are cold. Experts say the cold winters (polar vortex) are caused by missing Arctic sea ice, which is almost exactly the same as it was during the warm winters.
