NASA’s Quest To Erase The Warm 1930’s

Warm periods during the past, like the MWP and the 1930’s completely wreck the global warming narrative – so NASA puts a lot of effort into erasing the 1930’s, while Mann takes down the MWP. The work NASA is doing to corrupt the Vestmannaeyja, Iceland temperature record is nearly as impressive as the work they are doing at Reykjavik.

As at Reykjavik, NASA is cooling the past at 2.2ºC per century. Amazing how two different stations separated by 70 miles had exactly the same errors, which required that the past be massively cooled.

If the present refuses to get warmer, then the past must become cooler.

Like Winston Smith at Orwell’s Ministry of Truth, NASA GISS has to eliminate any record of the warm 1930’s and 1940’s

Unreal. I am so glad y’all are archiving the datasets and calling BS where it is so richly deserved. What galls is how this is OK with NASA, an organization that used to work hard to get stuff right.

    • NASA used to be headed by an individual with 7 degrees in engineering and science. Today, it is headed by an affirmative action placement of the Obama administration. A token. A lapdog. An individual with no content at all to his character. hence….

I should quit reading this blog unless I learn to like making myself depressed.
Notice in the article it said–polar ice caps were melting (fast)—-threatening to swamp seaports by raising sea levels. No credible scientist said, or should have said that. Melting sea ice does not raise sea levels. Only three things do: Glacial melt, Thermo-expansion, and land run off.

Steve, thanks for the various temperature records from various MN stations. I will be using them
    with credit to you.

Certainly Mosher and Stokes have rationalizations for all this data tampering?

Either that or they just feed whatever numbers GISS butchers into their models no questions asked.

Thanks to climate science, future temperatures are certain, it is the past ones that are unpredictable.

  6. Andy DC says:

NOAA has been reduced to nothing more than a political propaganda tool. Their initials actually should stand for “National Organization for AGW Advocacy”, as it is not a science group at all.

Only a small fraction of human behavior is controlled by rational thought or logic. We humans want science to confirm our animalistic assumption of importance and control. We are always reluctant to accept evidence of our unimportance and vulnerability to the forces of Nature that control the lives of other creatures.

Thus, the predictable response of humans five hundred and seventy years ago (2013 – 1543 = 570 yrs) to the Copernicus report that Earth is not the center of the universe; Earth moves in orbit about the Sun!

Humans received many benefits from the scientific revolution after finally accepting reality.

Sixty-eight years (2013-1945 = 68 yrs) ago, the human race had “at its command powers beyond the dreams of scientific fiction”, as promised in the last paragraph of Aston’s Nobel Prize lecture on 12 December 1922:

The predictable human response occurred again. By coincidence, a nuclear geo-chemist at the Imperial University of Tokyo in 1945 – Dr. Kazuo Kuroda – noticed abrupt changes in science in 1946 and assigned my research project in 1960 to find out why:

    1. The most abundant and most stable atom in the solar system (Fe-56) was suddenly replaced, without discussion or debate [1], by the atom with the highest mass (energy) per nucleon (H-1), in stark violation of the empirical link between atomic abundance and nuclear stability, and

    2. Nuclear stability defined by mass defect (M – A) or the nuclear packing fraction [f = (M – A)/A] was replaced in textbooks of physics and chemistry by von Weizsäcker’s deeply flawed concept of nuclear binding energy [2].

Steve, I don’t understand why GISS has two graphs on their site for the same station.
    I compared both with CRUtem3 (I’ll call them “GISS-hot” and “GISS-cool”).
    CRUtem3 Vestmannaeyar starts in 1878.
    CRUtem3 agrees with GISS-cool for the period 1884 – 1920.
    Crutem3 is intermediate between GISS-hot and GISS-cool for 1921 – 1936.
    CRUtem3 agrees with GISS-hot for the period 1937 – 1968.
All three agree for the period 1968 – 2000.
    None have data for 2001 – 2007.
Only one has data for 2008.
All three agree for 2009 and 2010.
    Crutem3 ends mid 2011.

I concluded that both “hot” and “cool” GISS sets are tampered.

    • Mosher says it is all good.

      • Sleepalot says:

Mosher claims 34,000 weather stations when – as you pointed out – for some
years there’s only a handfull. Mosher’s full of shit.

    • Sleepalot says:

      Correction – GISS-hot has no data 1982 – 2000 so, …

      CRUtem3 Vestmannaeyar starts in 1878.
      CRUtem3 agrees with GISS-cool for the period 1884 – 1920.
      Crutem3 is intermediate between GISS-hot and GISS-cool for 1921 – 1936.
      CRUtem3 agrees with GISS-hot for the period 1937 – 1968.
All three agree for the period 1968 – 1981.
      CRUtem3 agrees with GISS-cool for the period 1982 – 2000.
      None have data for 2001 – 2007.
Only one has data for 2008.
All three agree for 2009 and 2010.
      Crutem3 ends mid 2011.

My conclusion remains: both GISS sets are tampered.
