Two Thirds Of Democrats Are Against Democracy

Even when asked to set aside their views on how the government is supposed to work, by a wide 60-37 percent margin voters still disapprove of Obama going around Congress.

Almost all Republicans disapprove of Obama acting without lawmakers (90 percent), as do two-thirds of independents (66 percent).

    When did the House and Senate pass an enabling act? Or perhaps, like Napoleon, he just grabbed the crown and put it on his own head.

      PPA-ACA passed March of 2010. It was an enabling act giving the Executive dictatorial power over health care.

      Dodd-Frank passed July of 2010. It was an enabling act giving the Executive dictatorial power over the financial industry.

      Then, the National Socialist Democrats lost the House, and the enabling acts ended. Mr. Obama put the crown on in January, 2011, when he no longer had a compliant Congress. But he does have a dormant Congress. The House will take no action against Herr Obama.

    Two centuries ago, a somewhat obscure Scotsman named Tytler made this profound observation: “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy.”

      I should add that the demise of the USA was 1913 due to:

      1.Federal Reserve Act: allowed banks to steal the wealth of the citizens.

      2. 16th Amendment: allowed the Fed. Gov’t to rob Peter via levying a direct income tax.

      3. 17th amendment: direct election of Senate removed curb on Paul demanding goodies.

      With Fabian/Socialists behind the scenes pulling the string in government those three events sealed the fate of the USA.

      I would add to that the universal right to vote. In the beginning of the US, one had to be a land owner to vote.

      If the right to vote were instead limited to those who pay more taxes than they collect in benefits, things would be much different. That is the ONLY limitation I would wish to impose on the right to vote. Let those who pay for government choose their representatives.

      And if tax rates were subject to an annual referendum by the voters…… Doesn’t pass? Current rates, and government payroll immediately reduced by 25%. And better luck next year….

      And if no law was permanent unless passed by a 2/3 margin, all other laws would expire in a year and be subject to a renewal vote or expiration……

      Ah well, I can dream…….

      Here is a well documented article of a Rhodes-Milner group called the Committee for Economic Development (CED). It is a sister organization to the Council on Foreign Relations and has been in action here in the USA from the end of WWII until today. History, HACCP and the Food Safety Con Job (half the pages are references)

      Reading this article in 2009 is what sent me researching the behind the scene strings. I was stunned by how well organized the destruction of the USA really was.

      …Their plan was so effective and so faithfully executed by its operatives in the US government that by 1974 the CED couldn’t help but congratulate itself…

      he human cost of CED’s plans were exacting and enormous.

      CED’s plans resulted in widespread social upheaval throughout rural America, ripping apart the fabric of its society destroying its local economies. They also resulted in a massive migration to larger cities. The loss of a farm also means the loss of identity, and many farmers’ lives ended in suicide [6], not unlike farmers in India today who have been tricked into debt and desperation and can see no other way out.[7]

      CED members were influential in business, government, and agricultural colleges, and their outlook shaped both governmental policies and what farmers were taught. Farmers found themselves encouraged to give up on a farming system that employed minimal outsourced inputs and capital and get “efficient” by adopting instead a system that required they go into debt in order to purchase ever more costly inputs, like fossil-fuel based fertilizers, chemicals, seeds, feed grain, and machinery….

      The CED plan provided desperate people (plentiful cheap labor) for city industry. And of course by going into debt and mortgaging their land, farmers transfered much of their wealth to the banks. Let the Fed play with the financial market or play with the ‘Farm bills’ and you bankrupt the farmers and take their land. (Just google Rothschild or Soros and land grab)

      Mr. President, as much as I hate to recognize this, this is the fourth anniversary of the passage by the House and the Senate of the “freedom to fail” bill…

      The Freedom to Farm bill is not saving tax payers money, in fact we have spent $19 billion more….
      In my State of Minnesota, family farm income has decreased 43 percent since 1996 and more than 25 percent of the remaining farms may not cover expenses for 2000. Every month more and more family farmers are being forced to give up their life’s work, their homes, and their communities.

      The primary problem is price. The average price paid to producers for their crops has plummeted…. In May, 1996, wheat was selling $5.75 per bushel. Today, wheat is at $2.78 per bushel. This is well below the cost of production. Farmers need at least $4 a bushel to break even…. Family farmers have struggled to survive as the devastating results of the 1996 Farm bill…

      The 1996 farm bill got rid of a lot of the small farmers and the pesky US Strategic Grain Reserve.

      The next step was the Biofuel Hoax that sent grain prices sky rocketing. Heck the Council on Foreign Relations even has an article entitled: FP: How Goldman Sachs Created the Food Crisis

      And don’t forget ADM profits soar 550 percent as ethanol margins improve in the biofuelsdigest

    If only you could split those “Liar-in-chief approvals” by the demographics.

    The most basic and illuminating split (to me) would be net taxpayers vs. net tax-consumers. (Sorry, but teacher and firefighters are generally net tax-consumers too)

    I would speculate that those who live off of tax money taken from the productive will generally approve of anything the Liar-in-chief does.

      Yes, and unfortunately they are getting to be a very large segment of the population. About 25% of the population owes their job to the government and that was just the ones I could back out of the 2000 census.
      These are the ones most people miss:
      Teachers
      Academics
      Lawyers
      Accountants
      Safety, health, environment… compliance officers
      Waste management companies
      Solar companies of all sorts
      Wind mill companies of all sorts

      That does not include those on food stamps, welfare, SS, unemployment…. another 25%.

      Then you have the touchy feely brain dead who can not think their way out of a paper bag.

      I took a small business course in MA 25 years ago and the poor instructor spent a lot of time trying to get it through thick heads that you really do need to make a (GASP!) Profit.

      It was pitiful to listen to all those bright young people who were so brain washed by the US school system.
