Heidi Cullen and other climate experts* tells us that global warming is raising summer temperatures, and they will be 12 degrees warmer in the US by 2100.

Research Report by Climate Central

If it feels hot to you now in the dog days of this summer, imagine a time when summertime Boston starts feeling like Miami and even Montana sizzles.

Thanks to climate change, that day is coming by the end of the century, making it harder to avoid simmering temperatures.

By the end of the century, assuming the current emissions trends, Boston’s average summer high temperatures will be more than 10°F hotter than they are now, making it feel as balmy as North Miami Beach is today. Summers in Helena, Mont., will warm by nearly 12°F, making it feel like Riverside, Calif.

* In order to understand what a climate expert is, think in terms of a cross between Bernie Madoff and an Enron accountant.

If Hollywood is hot the whole world is frying. Don’t you under stand that Steve?

Enron accountants are fan-f*cking-tastic … after all Enron went bankrupt without ever posting a money losing quarter = stellar results 😉

  3. Shazaam says:

I don’t know what Enron Accountants have ever done to Toto to deserve such inflammatory abuse. Yet being compared to climatologists is a very serious insult indeed. Nearly as bad as being called an “Obama” with all the accumulating negative baggage that term carries with it.

I suspect the Enron Accountants will join with the Fraternal Order of Purple Turnips (FOPT) and their brothers in solidarity the Fraternal Order of Fence Posts (FOFP) to issue a formal protest against Toto’s vile and malicious abuse of their characters and intellect in making these allegations that they are somehow comparable to “climatologists”.

    Toto, you have been warned!!!

We had no really hot days here this summer and it is now certainly below the normal August temperature in Cape Girardeau, MO.

  5. John McLachlan says:

You are confusing local temperatures with global averages. Besides, it’s cooler than average, so it’s only weather.

  6. TomC says:

Ironically, if temperatures this year rise 12°F like Heidi Cullen predicts they will still be 4°F short of 1936

    • Shazaam says:

They are adjusting like mad to make that target.

Are they desperate enough to adjust the past down that hard and the present up that much is the real question.
