Yes there are many of us deplorables.

  2. Rud Istvan says:

Didn’t get much beyond the local news, but Trump opened his massive rally in Miami yesterday? with track 9 from Les Miserables (the original international cast recording, the Grammy winner), ‘Do you hear the people sing?’ And then his opening words were, “Welcome, Les Despicables”. The overflow crowd went crazy. The song sent a very powerful message about ‘freedom revolution’. He does that at all future rallies and doesn’t mess up again, he’ll take this thing.

  3. Gail Combs says:

Keln from the ConservativeTreeHouse did the work of reworking the Les Miserables poster.

    The backdrop for Trump.

    • Rud Istvan says:

You rock. I got my reporting a bit wrong, going from 24 hour memory. Thanks for passing the torch. Btw, get that Les Mis 2 minute track nine song. Play it loud and often.

      • Gail Combs says:

        I really love that song!

Someone over at the TreeHouse is already working on redoing the words to fit the Deplorables in the proud tradition of irrepressible Filkers.

(Hubby and a friend did the 8 days of Honukkah for one SF convention decades ago.)

  5. Andy DC says:

Trump supposedly only appeals to non educated white males, people who are totally deplorable racists, bigots, misogynists, homophobes, Islamaphobes and Xenophobes.

How does that account for his popularity among people who comment on this blog, who are very well educated and highly intelligent?

    • Latitude says:

but according to the polls…Clinton polls the hughest with the poorest and black and latin..

I only have three Harvard degrees. Summa undergrad economics/econometrics, cum laude Harvard Law, and Baker Scholar Harvard Business School (Baker is like a summa; I was the firstnperson to ever graduate HBS with a perfect 4.0–not that that matters in life).
I therefore fit Hillary’s Les Despicables basket ‘perfectly’.
She went to Yale Law. Says it all. Harvard -Yale football game for the Ivy League championship, 1969. Harvard Crimson headlines the next day: Harvard beats Yale 29-29. Which meant we were down 16 points at the 4Q two minute warning, and then scored two touchdowns plus two two point conversions in two minutes to tie.
Trump is going to pull a similar headline in November. Except he will win, based on this Les Mis intro.

    • Gail Combs says:

Hitlery is also supposed to ‘own’ the college educated women. Except any woman with two neurons to rub together prefers an Alpha Male as a leader especially when the times are uncertain.

Yes women can be great leaders however any woman who has been in industry will tell you a woman has to be much better to be considered the equal of a man and Hitlery just doesn’t fit that description.

      • Me says:

So we have Hitlery, and Hellary, and Illary! LOL! All three suits her!

      • TeaPartyGeezer says:

I’m pretty sure that the great women leaders in history didn’t have to keep mentioning that people should support them BECAUSE they were women. Too much like whining and victimhood, which is what Hillary is all about.

        BTW, I’m a woman with a BS in Business/Accounting.

        • Gail Combs says:

SOOooo Correct. You just dig in and by your actions show you have what it takes.

If you are a real leader people will follow you no matter what your gender because real leaders are few and far between. Something like 1 in 100.

In WWII Prisoner fo War camps, these were the people that were found and then broken. Once that was done the rest give you no trouble.

Look at how long it took for a real leader to arise here in the USA.

Also proud to be a deplorable!! The reason I enjoy this blog so much is the intelligence, knowledge, and experience of those of you who comment on Tony’s incredible postings of raw data, genuine science info, etc. I originally liked D. Trump because he wasn’t a politician. I have a very sensitive sleeze-o-meter, and all the other candidates swing the needle all the way. It is great, however, that Trump’s advisors are helping him to be less vulnerable to the critics/MSM, etc. If there were any honesty among the afore mentioned, it would be noted how very “presidential” Trump has been in recent weeks.

  7. Margaret Berger says:

I am a college educated female and I want a t-shirt that says
    Je Suis Deproable Et Fier!
Maybe I’ll put it on my car.

    • Me says:

Why not just have it say, “I’m Deproable and proud!”

      • AndyG55 says:
