Let me be clear. My own reading of the literature and study of paleoclimate suggests strongly that carbon dioxide from burning of fossil fuels will prove to be the greatest pollutant of human history. It is likely to have severe and detrimental effects on global climate. I would love to believe that the results of Mann et al. are correct, and that the last few years have been the warmest in a millennium.

The name Mueller is a very famous one in and around Australia, . Baron Von Mueller was a real scientist of the old school and is one of Australias great sons albeit adopted from Germany. I would not like to see a johney come latety to tarnish his name.

It’s predictable how the Malthusians will take something (CO2) that is truly a boon to mankind and try and twist it so it becomes deadly pollutant. Since these people are their own worst source of CO2 then they should immediately commit mass suicide to assuage their guilt.

Richard A Muller is one of the good guys. He supports AGW but, but, but. Firstly go to youtube and check out the videos of him denouncing Climategate. Watch the video of him explaining how emissions cuts punish the developing world. Watch his series “Physics for Future Presidents” and note especially how he says that CO2 has alleged feedbacks and he believes those feedbacks if they exist are very slight. Read his article debunking the nuclear waste hysteria “The Witch of Yucca Mountain” and read his WSJ article “The Panic over Fukushima.” Then come back here with a huge apology and a monstrous slice of humble pie. (I would have used strong language instead of the bolds but then Steve would have turfed the comment.)
