Your graph is striking and, like the Wash. D.C. cherry blossoms, confirms what agriculturalists are struggling with. Now, apparently, there is more rain than they want. There are many reports such as this:

It has been cold out there hasn’t it, but somehow or other this will come out to be “the fourth (or fill in the blank ordinal number larger than sixth) hottest month/season/year on record”
Don’t ask me how it happens, but NOAA always makes sure it happens, it has been happening now ever since NOAA has become DNC headquarters
Simple:
Watch what happens to the morning low temp. (esp on W@nd@r Ground) for a rural station. My temperatures get ‘adjusted up’ by 1-4 °F usually within 24 hours. And sometimes there are second and third ‘adjustments’
For example in September 2013 we had five hi temps at 90 °F and above (one at 95 °F) after the first of this year that magically changed to FIFTEEN temperatures 90 °F and above. For April 6 the morning low was 44 °F. It was changed to 48 °F on April 8.
Considering the weather station is less than fifteen years old there is ZERO excuse for adjusting temperatures from that station.
Can you say FRAUD?
I regret to say they do it all over. I noticed impossibly positive temperature gradients in time derived by NWS for regional data accumulated since 80 years ago. The derivation of these “trends” isn’t discussed.
A number of Congresspeople have demanded that NOAA “get out of the climate business.” NWS needs to get out of it as well. So does NASA.
It isn’t going to happen.
I loved it when ‘They’ changed my 6 inches of snow to above freezing temperatures and rain (Feb 11)
That ‘Adjustment’ was a bit hard to hide. I really wish I had screen captured the whole debacle.
Gail,
Quickie lesson for the computer challenged 😉
(“ctrl” “print screen”) will take a screen shot of your entire monitor. Try not to have embarrassing search phrases visible when you do this 😉
(“shift” “print screen”) will take a screen shot of just the active program. Generally good not to have embarrassing search phrases visible when you do this as well….
(word press gets upset about my use of angle brackets, so I included the same keys in quotes if it tosses the brackets into the mud)
Fire-up paint, and paste the image. ( “ctrl” “v” ) is the keyboard shortcut, or use the top menu edit-paste to paste the image. I try to “save as” jpg format to save space, but disk space is cheap these days.
That’s it. Now you can tell your husband you’ve had your quickie for the day.
Thanks Shazaam {:>D
The Midwest is getting another cold shock right now. Check it again in about 3 days and it should be even more extreme.
