First Five Months Of 2014 Coldest On Record In The US

US temperatures through May were the coldest on record. 2012 brought great joy to climate alarmists, and 2014 has turned most of them into reality deniers.

The MSM feels guilty for getting Obama elected twice now, and wants to help him prepare for his retirement plans in the talking-about-weather industry. He’s in over his head these days, so they’re playing along with his new agenda even if nobody takes him seriously anymore. They know 2016 will be a chance for them to make things right again, with a fully vetted and competent leader, like we deserve.

Climate Alarmists have been stuck in denial for decades. It was a great scam while it lasted but CAGW is a lemon, nothing more.

Our beliefs alter our perception of reality. “Even when we absolutely know something is false, we can’t see through them.” Alarmists belief in CAGW is the lens they see the world through, so no matter what evidence is before them, they only perceive what they already believe.

“No matter what evidence is before them, they only perceive what they already believe”. Very true. Here is an example that I have personally experienced with CAGW enthusiasts on multiple occasions.

I will mention the overwhelming hot weather that the US experienced during the 1930s — hotter than any years we in the US have experienced since. Their response? “Maybe so, but that is just local weather. We are talking about global heating and the US is only a couple percent of the planet’s area. You’ll get warm spots and cooler spots…” I might then say, “Well, if you are talking global warming, then we need to see global warming — not global staying-the-same-temperature. Globally, the Earth has not had any statistically significant warming for over a decade and half.” Their response? “I find that hard to believe! Just look at the droughts that we are having here in the US!” They totally do not even see that they (who just claimed that a few percent of Earth’s surface is not significant) are now claiming that a small percentage of that same area actually is conclusive!

      • Jimbo says:

A small per cent of the Earth is significant if it’s hot. It’s not significant if it’s cold or iced up.

Weather is climate change if it is hot. Sometimes it’s global warming. Weather is just the weather if it’s cold. 😉

      • Andy DC says:

It is amazing how the warming tends to skip over the densely populated places in the world, but is going strong in places where there are few if any people, like the South Pacific and northern Siberia. Places where there is a lot of extrapolation and “smoothing” by “climate experts”.

  4. geran says:

WAAAAAY off topic, but “Warmists” and “Lukers” will not get it—–
“Entropy, it’s not what it used to be.”

  5. geran says:

Okay, forgive me, one more: “Save electricity, ride an electrical engineer.”

Yup, I’m done for the night.

  6. Hugh K says:

The incompetent one can’t even catch a break from the weather. Maybe if he brings back the Greek columns and cranks up the god-echo….
Still, no doubt Monday night CNN, NBC, ABC & CBS will be putting a good spin on the EPA directives to raise our energy costs even more….er….stop global wa….er….climate change while completely overlooking this amazing record.

  7. Steven, in other posts you outline how USHCN Stations have dropped off since 1990.. thus causing fake warming…

Here, the graph above indicates all “HCN” Stations are included…

Can you explain or elaborate on the difference here or what these datasets represent?
