Katharine Hayhoe Texas Climate Fraud Update

Two years ago, Canadian Texas Tech evangelical Katharine Hayhoe, claimed in the movie “Years Of Living Dangerously” that heatwaves in Texas were becoming much more common, and cherry-picked a start date of 40-50 years ago to begin her analysis.

Drought – Years Of Living Dangerously

The reason she picked a start date of 40 years ago, is because that was the coolest date in the Texas temperature record. This is spectacularly dishonest, as heatwaves have declined long-term in Texas and were much more common prior to 1960.

This deception is typical of Hayhoe climate fraud. She then claims that Texas droughts are getting worse due to “climate change” – when there is no evidence to back it up.

The long term trend for Texas is towards less drought, and they are currently the wettest place in the US – with huge amounts of rain forecast the next few weeks.

It is probably best to be skeptical about Canadian evangelicals living in Texas.

The Texas “permanent drought” was busted a couple years ago and now if forecasts are correct the state will be cooler and wetter than average throughout the spring.

And internet search demonstrates just how wrong the chicken littles were:

    February 1st, 2011 by Joshua S Hill
Columbia University Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory professor Richard Seager has been studying the climate, and believes that human-induced global warming could push the natural variability to a point where the region enters into a time of permanent drought in the comig decades.

Another very mild tornado season so far as well.

    • RAH says:

Yep, and though there was a spike in February if the forecast is correct it’s going to stay that way and we’ll have another year well below average .

This despite the every increasing ability to detect tornadoes over time due to advances in technology and increased area coverage.

Flood day in Texas today, especially Southeast Texas. Places just to the north of me have received up to 14 inches of rainfall over the last 24 hours. Don’t plan on traveling through the Houston area today.

  9. Peph says:

Katharine should have waited until NOAA adjusted the past temperatures and made pre-1975 temperatures cooler.

    • RAH says:

That number is going to way up. They’re in for another bout of heavy rain in the east part of the state after this current one and if the guys at Weatherbell have it right Texas as a whole is in for a much wetter and cooler spring than is the norm.

  10. Deb says:

What this respected atmospheric scientist at Texas Tech University actually said was, unless carbon emissions were swiftly curbed, in the coming decades Texas would see stronger heat waves, harsher summers, and torrential rainfall separated by longer periods of drought. It would be smart to start preparing for these extreme conditions.

        Good Job !!!

Keep on going and look Up, your reward is waiting for You…

    • ricks2014 says:

      Deb ?

“What this respected atmospheric scientist” ??

      You’ve joking right ???

Deb, “God” is in control of Planet Earth, but you are not a believer, your words say everything !

      So…

Stick with it, believe in Kathy, and it is entirely evident that you stand neck and neck with President Obama, stick with the President that You voted for each and every time !!

      Be “faithful” !!!

The road to Heaven is narrow, and few will find it !

It’s not a place for You, stick with Obama and Katherine, and follow them, HAVE FAITH, you have forever to reason it out !!

Respected Scientists deserve your respect and acceptance, and so does the President of the United States, stick with them, because if You turn on them it only gets worse, because them You go off to the Judgment of the Hypocrites…

“Follow the lies, You gotta follow…, livin for today, forget about tomorrow”

      Pathetic

Seeing more ad homiem attacks here than actual science. There is some excellent examples of confirmation bias here though, so good job there.
