Like global temperatures, US crime rates have fallen over the last five years (since the assault weapons ban was lifted.) The only places where crime is rising is in gun-free zones, because criminals know that they can kill people with impunity.
Detroit Police Chief Logan said the criminal activity in the city comes from a small minority of the city’s population.
“These aren’t the average citizens we are talking about,” Logan said. “Many of these people are involved in nefarious walks of life, and there’s a difference between a law-abiding citizen who shoots a gun and a criminal or a thug who’s out there using one.”
“We can’t give up, we can’t give in, and we’ve really got to let the small percentage of our population that’s creating havoc in our city know that we’re not going to continue to accept it and all of us need to get involved and help each other solve the problem,” Bing said.

Lefties aren’t interested in facts, and are trying to tax carbon and ban guns. Like their socialist predecessors in Russia and Germany, it is all about power – and nothing else.
The only reason to take guns away from law abiding citizens is to enslave them, which is exactly what the left wants to do. Americans have a choice to either be weak-minded victims, or to defend their Constitution and country. What do you choose?

Yes. The violence of the criminal and the psychotic must not be allowed to dictate our rights. Just as the violence of extremist Islam over a depiction of Mohammed must not be allowed to determine the free speech that depicted it.
