  3. I’m curious about the recent drop in temperature. You usually see swings like that after about a 3 month lag in SST’s but at the moment they remain neutral or are even on the warmish side.

    Short term ENSO models are predicting a continued drop in SST’s until the end of Feb. I’ve been watching this for a few years now, and I’m a little surprised things are cooling down so quickly. What changed dramatically that caused the Dec drop? That’s chaos theory for you. 😉
