It must be a real thrill to be some “scientist” and come up with a preposterous story like Arctic Ice Melt/Polar Vortex to make a field goal that temporarily saves the image of the Political Party that defines itself by religious adherence to junk science.
I don’t have the imagination to invent the Polar Vortex concept, but even if I did, I would be too embarrassed to attempt to insult somebody’s intelligence with it. It really shows nothing more than contempt for people.

The senatorial show trials will follow with government always prepared to deny responsibility to reach a preordained solution, to have government take over the energy infrastructure.
