Self-admiration is a common pitfall among “brilliant scientists.”
Basic requirements for real science are humility, honesty and open- mindedness.
Their response: There were no Satellites before then (they are correct for the 40s). But they still suffer from lack of data.
There were satellites measuring Arctic sea ice going back to the 1960s, and NSIDC is well aware of them.
Ignore the losers. You’re brilliant Steve. Keep up the good work.

Such a breathtakingly bad use of intellect on his part. It needs to be taken away and given to somebody who will use it more wisely. Then he can be allowed to sit and drool on himself in peace.

Cherry pick a section of a clearly periodic function, extrapolate a linear regression to Armageddon, and run round like headless chickens frothing and gibbering about how we can olly be saved if we give them all our money!

It’s the Arctic where we ought to see the first signs of global cooling.
Mark knows what he’s doing; and it is criminal. He is normalizing the data to get the answer he wants and to support the story he wants to tell.
Myopic science; practicing ‘science’ for short term, for political goals … Mark has neither the scientific length nor breadth and certainly not the ‘freedom’ (verily, he is now trapped in a system, a culture, of his and his compatriots own making) to seek the ‘trvth’.
Revealing any kind of ‘Trvth’ in his case would mean political suicide and professional death; can’t have that, daddy likes wearing his pony tail on campus …

Where does NSIDC’s Greenland melt data pre-1990 come from? I suggest that DMI uses 1990-2011 for their mean because that’s all the data they’ve got. Has NSIDC made up some ‘data’ for the 80’s?
