Putting Things In Perspective

I am constantly called a right-wing extremist, because my politics are nearly identical to the politics of Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin.

That gives a good feel for who has taken over the US government.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

November is coming. Drop your cynicism and make sure that Democrats are voted out of power this autumn.

    You analyze data and come to a concussion that is based on that data and facts. The scientific method is no longer before applied by some people that even work in the field of science. The scientific method is in the first chapter any basic high school science course.

    Me too. And I’m not even as libertarian as Tom and Ben. There is a serious reckoning coming for all Western societies in the next decade. It’s only when things get serious (and seriously dicey) that the majority are compelled to focus their minds on what is really important.

    international Socialist George Soros will be pulling the strings on their
    beige puppet to bring us Act 2 of the New World Order.

    Our side ran two candidates who couldn’t even win their
    own home states, and the circus fat-ster, Chris Christie, helped Obama
    over the top with a glowing “post Sandy” tribute that elevated the
    “Commander-in-Chief” to Mother Teresa status. (Aside: with
    the way the polls were run, he didn’t need any help!)

    People like me are completely politically irrelevant, and I
    will never again comment on or concern myself with the aforementioned
    coalition which has surrendered our culture, our heritage and our traditions without a shot
    being fired.

    You will never again out-vote these people. It will take individual acts of
    defiance and massive displays of civil disobedience to get back the
    rights we have allowed them to take away. It will take Zealots, not moderates
    & shy, not reach-across-the-aisle RINOs to right this ship and restore our beloved country to its
    former status.

    Those who come after us will have to risk their lives, their
    fortunes and their sacred honor to bring back the Republic that this
    generation has timidly frittered away due to “white guilt” and political correctness…

    Agreed. I occasionally lose my will to fight and then the Marxists do another destructive thing and it reenergizes me. We need to start with liberal blogs debunking the massive lies and myths about Conservative values. I do that now and generally try to be polite and factual with references, I occasionally slip into sarcasm and snark. Then I wash my hands and jump back into the fray. I may lose my job for my beliefs but when a person who believes in the wisdom of our Constitution is considered a terrorist and far right radical, how can you battle that? Short of starting small communities of like minded people I see no remedy. They have the schools, our kids minds and the media. It is a monumental task that most don’t even recognize as a problem.

    I state this for the record: 1) We are not racist, but will fight back when accused by racists. 2) We are not cruel and uncaring, however perpetual victimhood and dependence will be fought. 3) We are not anti-government, however government has a limited role in our Republic and has grown to be an intrusive inefficient juggernaut that needs to be gotten under control. 4) I am fiercely American and will defend this country to the death. 5) I am proud to be American regardless of the beatings in the press we endure.

    I fear for my kids future. We need to win to keep the ideal alive. I would follow a non-Marxist Democratic president. This one is a flop and a Marxist.

      I wish that would fix it — but my suspicion is that even that would only be a short term solution. The problem with the so-called “Progressives” is that they absolutely won’t leave anyone alone. (I know; I have some in my close family!) Their entire political approach is based on the ideal that not only do they know better than you what is best for you, but that they also have the absolute right to force you to comply. The don’t believe in “live and let live”. To use a more old fashioned word, they do not believe in freedom.

      I devoutly hope that with the millions of people in this country, someone will come up with a good solution, but right now, I do not think that the “Progressives” will ever stop their unethical quest for power over We The People until there is blood in the streets. I pray I am wrong about that…

When a country is in disarray a small well organized group can grab control quite easily as the Communists have proved over and over again.

        1. Patriot Act, the repeal of Posse Comitatus, militarization of the police, Agreement with Canadian Military to sent troops into the USA, huge purchase of Ammo by DHS

        2. Destruction of mid-level corporations via leveraged buyouts, shipping not only jobs but whole factories overseas, hiding unemployment figures and doing NOTHING constructive to get the economy back on track. Printing $$$ like it was monopoly money and there by destroying the savings of the baby boomer generation. Foreclosuregate… and the destruction of the economy in general.         3. Uncontrolled immigration and encouraging ‘ethniticty’ instead of ‘assimilation’ SEE: Richard Lamm on Multiculturalism

        4. Targeting the last “Regulation Free” industry, farming and placing it under the control of the World Trade Organization via the Food Safety Modernization Act thereby insuring food prices will necessarily sky rocket when the cost of the regulations and the removal of competition kicks in.

        5. Targeting and destroying our cheap energy infrastructure. Here is a new one for you _Jim.

    I guess this fall, I will have to get drunk and vote against any Democrat.

    Republicans, many times, aren’t much better, but the idea is to send a message!

    This country seriously needs leadership, not political correctness, and not “go-along-to-get-along”.

          …Yes, there was a Scottish historian named Alexander Fraser Tytler. He wrote several books in the early nineteenth century, but none with the title, The Fall of the Athenian Republic. In none of his books does this stage theory passage appear.

          Another site traces this quotation and finds numerous variations. It concludes that no one has identified the source.

          A detailed response from the library of the University of Edinburgh reveals that no such quotation appears in the library’s holdings of books by Tytler.

          Edinburgh University Library occasionally receives enquiries, particularly from North America, about this particular work. When Lenin was pushing to overthrow the Russian Empire and still leading what was little more than a small group of followers, they took on the name of “Bolsheviks”, a name that means “majority.” Of course they were not a majority, but every time the newspapers would publish and article that mentioned them, it reenforced the public perception that Lenin was leading a “majority” party. Today, the “Progressives” pretend that they are at the forefront of political evolution, when the truth is the are simple old fashioned authoritarians and collectivists. Names OUGHT to mean something, but today, the perfectly good name of “Classical Liberal” has been so tarnished by several generations of pretenders to liberalism, that one uses it at his own risk. Even the perfectly good name of “Conservative” has been so tarnished by pretenders to conservativism that one uses it also at risk.

      I sometimes think that in the most basic analysis there are only two political groups — those who demand the power to run your life, and those who demand the right to be left alone.

        The ‘Progressive’/’Liberal’/whatever part of society, contrary to the MSM IS NOT the majority and as such, it can be defeated and disaster averted…

        But it’s a big IF, isn’t it?

          Probably not. But there is definitely a higher power than that of totalitarian one-world communism.

          Thomas Jefferson seemed aware of that benevolent higher power when he wrote the Declaration of Independence.
