Its in the upper 50s tonight in the east mountains by Albuquerque, NM. Coolest its been in years.
Bloody free loading climate drank all the beer in the fridge down under and then ducks off back to Seattle. Typical progressive.
Elsewhere in the State of Washington the temperature has been totally unremarkable. Some hot days in July but it is summer.

On his web site, Cliff Mass did (maybe still does) have a photo of 4 or 5 blankets piled one on top of the others to explain the GHG theory of atmospheric warming; thus, confirming that he does not understand the physics thereof.

This wasn’t a particularly hot summer. There were a Few hot days, but maybe a lot of consistently warm days, with not much variability. Goldilocks weather actually. So if that’s Global Warming, I wish it were happening.
Cliff Maas is a respected weatherman. Sad to see him fall for AGW bs. I notice he thinks it will be 3 degrees warmer in 2050, Ummm Hmmm. sure sure.

THE Bureau of Meteorology has been accused of manipulating historic temperature records to fit a predetermined view of global warming. In a dispute with BOM that can be traced to the Brisbane floods in January 2011, researcher Jennifer Marohasy has claimed the adjusted temperature records resemble “propaganda” rather than science.

Steve, they are right! This is what “global warming” feels like. Not so bad at all. What was all the fuss over? Looks like it is time to move on to some other scare as “global warming” is just another coolish summer. 🙂
It has been a little cooler than average here in southern Ontario, making it an awesome summer. I haven’t had to use the air conditioner much.

Beats 2009? July 2009 was a record heat wave with temps pushing close to 110 around Seattle. Tough on a place accustomed to 75-80.

Seattle is averaging a little more than 3 degrees above normal for August, but some stations in Viriginia are averaging more than 4 degrees below normal. So as usual with weather, some places are warm and others cool. Nothing new or profound about that!
Aha! So we don’t need to look into the depths of the Atlantic to find the missing heat!
It’s hopping in to the Atlantic on the Virginia coast, zooming down to ~2,000m so that it can be measured by a passing ARGO buoy then it zips down through the Panama Canal, up the US West coast (and fakes out some Pacific Ocean temperature sensors here just to keep the “scientists” on their toes) hangs a right at Wa’atch, WA and hops back out of the ocean in Puget Sound to warm up Seattle. It’s CO2’s version of a summer vacation trip without Chevy Chase or a station wagon.

I live in Southern Montana. We had the winter from hell last year, a mild summer with not even a 100 degree day, and now it feels like November. I hope this is not a sign of the winter to come.
“Southern” Montana? As in okra, oranges, and magnolias? 🙂

More likely rhubarb, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts. I actually tried to raise okra back in the day, and it was a disaster. It snowed before I got any okra on the plants. Our last frost this year was the 7th of June, and our first one will be early in September where I live.
Early Sept., if you’re lucky. I see forecasts for cold this weekend. (My truck was “3”, as I’m sure you will understand.)
