In 1908, Scientist Said Snow Was A Thing Of The Past In New York

Man’s foolish ideas of climate change from back then even. 106 years ago.
Brilliant! Not quite on a par with the 1970s idea of spraying the antarctic black, but up there.
(OT, but I see even in 1908 Americans were confusing “that” with “than”!)
I was watching the national radar map last night and witnessed St Louis’ UHI effect turn a snowfall into freezing rain. Light blue mass, with a pink bubble in the middle extending far beyond city limits. Obviously NOAA and NASA will need to adjust last night’s temperatures upward to compensate for this.
The article manages to slam evil hard-working capitalists who shovel the snow. Maybe they think they can tax and regulate snowfall to reduce the money snow removers can earn.
Maybe the cold makes them dream up wacky ideas.
Meanwhile at the SP, the golf course is open for the holiday period. BYO icebreaker and drinks waiter.
