Bill Clinton had an affair, lied about it under oath, and didn’t resign. He had an enormous power differential over a young impressionable intern.
David Petraeus had an affair, didn’t lie about it (and in fact was an open secret), and resigned. He had a much smaller power differential over a highly-accomplished military officail who can run 6-minute miles.
