But it is declining snowcover in July that is important, which is mystifying even to climate experts because heat causes more snow and the last couple of Julys have been quite hot. Every idiot knows that July 1936 was the snowiest month on record in most states, at least until climate experts determined that it was no longer the hottest month on record.
