“Here we show that the previously reported increase in global drought is overestimated,” the study authored by Princeton researchers Justin Sheffield and Eric Wood and Australian researcher Michael Roderick says. “More realistic calculations, based on the underlying physical principles that take into account changes in available energy, humidity and wind speed, suggest that there has been little change in drought over the past 60 years.”
CO2 was much higher during the Jurassic, when dinosaurs fed on lush, green, tall vegetation. The climate world is full of theoreticians who have their head deeply embedded up their Triassic.

The bogey man will get you if you don’t watch out! Jeff Masters has apparently read way too many Grade D comic book disaster scenarios. That plus bad weed can do strange things to your brain.
So are there any negative effects related to AGW that have been empirically measured or are we left with just an overwhelming number of benefits?
I saw a post that suggested that aeronautical engineers propose that Pterosaurs would not be able to “fly” or glide in the current atmosphere – they would not be able to generate the lift their mass would require in the current atmospheric density.
Does anyone have any info on this as it suggests our atmosphere is actually thinning over time – perhaps this will be the next climate alarm – in 65 – 100 million years the atmosphere will be too thin to sustain life ?
Just keepin the skids greased for future grant suckeage.
