I sometimes wonder how anyone could look at a hundred years of sea level data, observe a more or less consistent trend across the entire data set, and then conclude continents are going to drown due to a massive non-existent acceleration in that trend…

I believe that the claim is that when the areas to the North were under the ice, that New York City was sort of squished upward, & now that the ice-sheet is mostly gone & those northern areas are rebounding that New York City is subsiding.
