Sometimes Gaia sends the faithful tests, and sometimes she sends signs.
For example Sandy was a sign to enhance our carbon faith, but record cold at Cancun was a test of faith. Obama getting snowed out of Copenhagen was also a test – as is the Gore Effect.
It is easy to distinguish a sign from a test. When something happens contrary to your beliefs, it is a test. When an event happens which confirms your beliefs, it is a sign.
The important thing to remember is that no matter what happens, it is proof of global warming.
It’s fascinating that the Gaian cult has borrowed so much from the Judeo-Christian tradition. (Aestheticism, apocalyptics, etc.)They have also incorporated elements from many more recent and new age cults, such as Scientology. Particularly the nortion that their religion is ‘scientific’.
