Since Obama was elected, gun sales have been through the roof – and murder rates have continued to decline.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

If the inner city murder rate is left out, the rest of the US is fairly high on the safe place to live list. The tightest gun control laws are in the inner cities.
Violent crime in NRA dominated counties is essentially non-existent.
That is why the gun grabbers have to scream about individual atrocities. A rational approach just doesn’t convey their message. And when confronted with the facts, their fall back position is “if it saves one life, it is worth the sacrifice, The sacrifice of liberty and respect for the individual.
I should replay here my take on the 1988 quote from Hansen as he falsely predicted that crime would go up:
What absolute bs, and Hansen knew it. Now, several years beyond 2008, and we see that the sea hasn’t risen any discernible amount. None. The birds… are the same. The trees… ditto. There’s no constantly taped up windows because of wind. What a joke. And crime… has gone down! And to top it all off, the temperature has gone down or stayed the same.
This is amazing considering the times we live in. But if I watch the news all I see is killing.
