Massive Crowds Of Protesters

In 2003, I experienced firsthand the massive demonstrations against GWB during his visit to London. I was staying a few blocks away from Buckingham Palace, and walked past the palace every day to get to meetings on Pall Mall.

The US press corpse reported that there were huge crowds of protesters outside the palace chanting anti-Bush slogans. I counted about four protesters, silently holding signs.

Later that weekend, England won the rugby world cup. 600,000 people lined Whitehall to cheer on the team when they returned from down under.

This was when I realized that CNN is nothing more than a left-wing propaganda outlet.

The Tea Party rally in DC was the largest demonstration in US history, coming in at somewhere over 1 million participants. The reason I know this is because I have family that volunteer at information booths for all protests, gay rights to NRA. They also attended Skeeter’s first inauguration and said the difference in the crowd was slight, the inauguration brought in 1.5 million and the Tea Party was nearly as large.

TIME magazine’s year in review did not even mention the DC rally. History being rewritten as it happens.

If I may share with you…

Here is an article from the Guardian showing how the Canadian government is targeting environmental groups as a “threat to national security”. In fact the title is “Canada’s environmental activists seen as ‘threat to national security'” by Stephen Leahy http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2013/feb/14/canada-environmental-activism-threat

Only problem is that every quote in the story from government officials is refering to Islamic terrorism. The Graundian’s reference is from (Toronto) Canada’s Globe and Mail http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/domestic-terrorism-becoming-a-greater-concern-for-canadian-spy-agency/article8478299/ regarding recent incidents where Canadian dual citizens have committed terrorist acts in foreign countries resulting in almost 50 people dead. (see Bulgaria bus bomb and Algerian oil rig hostage taking and killings). There is nothing even mentioned about environmentalists in the Globe’s piece. Conversely there is nothing mentioned about Islam in the Guardian piece.

The other references in the Guardian story all come directly, or from a round-about way, from a single source… a PhD candidate from Queens University (here in Canada) named Jeffrey Monaghan.

The Guardian article came out on Feb 14th… by March 5th, Toronto’s biggest newspaper “The Star” was writing a story based on the Guardian’s story. The Star further butchered the story by claiming the title of the Guardian piece was headlined “Canada’s spy chiefs target anti-frackers,” by Stephen Leahy. dubya dubya dubya dot thestar.com/opinion/commentary/2013/03/05/hey_csis_farmers_are_not_terrorists.html

    It beggars belief.

Many people I have met who have raliised that what appears on TV or in th eNewspaper is not necessarily true hav ehad similar experiences to you and me.

We’ve been at an event, or involved in an incident, but see it reported as something quite else.

I do hope some conservatives buy up big news papers and start reporting news and doing fact checking.
