As you point out, the correlation between rising CO2 levels and temperature is non-existent. Therefore, the theory of human-CO2-induced global warming is falsified. That should be the end of the debate. Unfortunately, through massive scientific fraud and a campaign of non-stop propaganda by the corporate-controlled media, the absurd theory of anthropogenic global warming (AGW) continues to hold sway over many True Believers. They simply can’t believe that the big-name scientists peddling the “consensus” AGW fantasy are lying to them.
The entire global-warming scare is driven by greed and a lust for power. Water vapor is responsible for 90-plus percent of the so-called “greenhouse gases.” By comparison, the man-made portion of CO2 constitutes 0.117 percent of the greenhouse effect. Of course, the scaremongers decided early on that it would impossible to control and tax water vapor. So they targeted CO2 (the portion produced from fossil fuels) as the official global warming bogeyman. They saw it as a perfect way to fleece taxpayers, drive up energy prices, enrich renewable energy firms, and make a fortune selling and trading carbon offsets.

Times are a changing, the New York Times has dropped it’s green blog, other newspapers have done the same, their has been a public backlash against all media hyped ecotastrophes. Revkin is still there, but that’s more an issue of sport, watching him bounce all over the place. Green scares and panic have simply turned bad for newspapers, ordinary readers have left in droves because of being force fed green baloney.
I have been looking at this data as well and here is a temp anomaly vs CO2 concentration using the HADCRUT data but with a larger sample size. http://cosmoscon.com/2012/12/19/global-temperature-and-co2-update-december-2012/co2-vs-temp-2/. You can see a clear leveling off point once CO2 got to 370ppm.
Al Gore copied this directly from Richard Alley, warmist paleontologist, who made the video ” The Biggest Control Knob”. This was a very good presentation, but I still remember the main reason he gave why CO2 is the biggest temperature knob. “Because we couldn’t find any other forcing that would explain this”.
