Before your SUV ruined the climate, a California fire destroyed one home every 11 seconds.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Sad.
Southern California has a hot & dry high-sun season and a moist low sun season, often called a Mediterranean Climate; Köppen Climate Classification System Csb for the coast and Csa for inland. The nearby mountains and canyons influence air flow (winds) as described in this:
The Santa Ana Winds in Historical Photos and Literature
http://www.kcet.org/updaily/socal_focus/history/la-as-subject/santa-ana-winds-history.html
Near the bottom are photos from 1948, ’53, & ’61. The winds and fire have
been noted in stories of the native people before arrival of Europeans. The air warms by compression as it rushes downslope. This will happen regardless of the temperature over the source regions. A quote from the Wikipedia page: “It is often said that the air is heated and dried as it passes through the Mojave and Sonoran deserts, but according to meteorologists this is a popular misconception. The Santa Ana winds usually form during autumn and early spring when the surface air in the elevated regions of the Great Basin and Mojave Desert (the “high desert”) becomes cool or even cold (although they may form at virtually any time of year).”

Reading for historic perspective:

“It’s interesting to recall that our worst single fire preceded urbanization. During the last week of September, the Great Fire of 1889 burned more than 300,000 acres in northern San Diego County and southern Orange County, killing thousands of sheep and destroying the unharvested barley crop.”
No record high temps since the invention of the SUV.

It’s readable – just.
Wordpress has removed your formating but if you put
before your text and then …
after the formating is ususally retained.
See – http://wattsupwiththat.com/test-2/ for formatting examples and a test page (would be nice to have at this site but you can’t have it all I suppose).
Just another thing, don’t try Googling for help on WordPress formating. It is an errand that is less than worthless. If you do you will get 1,000,000 hits for totally irrelavent sites.
I’ve tried to find it on WordPress’s main site and had to give up. Obviously WordPress want to keep this sort of information a secret from mere commenters on WP sites.
So site owners have had to get used to the fact that some of us are not good typists or good at remembering the arcane rules of formating. It’s a painful lesson but when you break the rules of formating, you often will be chastised and ridiculed for just not knowing or forgetting.
Just smile and carry on.
Lets test the theory and see if it works –
Not quite.
My husband lost everything he owned in that fire except for his gas-guzzling 1971 Maverick. They don’t make them like they used to.
Everything else on the street was burned to ashes. The Maverick was parked on the curbed, unscathed, except for singed tires.
