What I See Vs. What They See

Climate alarmists believe that the world is falling apart. I see a beautiful world threatened only by psychotic progressives.

  1. RAH says:

I have red winged black birds of a slightly different variety coming to my feeders here at home.

  2. Steve Case says:

Sandhill cranes have been flying over the house this past week.

    • RAH says:

Don’t see those down in my neck of the woods but do see the big Heron flying singly some. They work the streams and ponds around here.

      • toorightmate says:

Do they have a permit from EPA to work those streams and ponds?
Where’s Oh Bummer when you really need him?

      • David A says:

By our N California lake we would watch the Eagles wait until the Osprey caught the fish, then chase them until they dropped the fish.

Once a Blue Heron, pissed about something, went crazy after an eagle. The eagle wanted nothing to do with that Blue Heron!

        • RAH says:

At my parents snowbird home in Florida at Port Charlotte my Mother had a couple of them trained. She had a great blue Heron and a good sized white Egret show up at the back door of the Lanai every morning to be fed. Dad bought her bait fish to feed them. She called the Blue Heron “Jack” and the White Great Egret “Jill”. There was also a green equana, a non native animal to Florida, which they fed fruit in a pie pan placed on the top of the sea wall on the channel.

  3. Andy DC says:

If it was not for incessant propaganda by the alarmists and their lap dogs in the media, very few people would believe there was anything seriously wrong with the planet. Just a much cleaner atmosphere than we had 50-75 years ago, when places were getting killer smogs.

    • RAH says:

The west coast is getting more pollution now from Asia than we here in the Rustbelt are seeing. Stupid regulations still gripe me though. The 55 mph speed limit for big trucks around Knoxville just kills me. That law was put in years ago before effective pollution control for big trucks and ultralow diesel fuel was the standard. There is no comparison between the exhaust the 2015 Frieghtliner I drive now compared to the 2001 Frightliner I started in when that law could and did have a real effect in reducing emissions harmful to the trees in the Smoky mountains. But the law still stands.

      • Andy DC says:

You probably get to ride on the DC Beltway from time to time. There is the totally absurd 55 mph speed limit that no one obeys. In fact there are times I am going 75-80 mph and can’t keep up with traffic. But then you have a**holes going 50-55 mph in the left lane and impeding traffic, who then speed up when you try to pass them on the right.

        • RAH says:

Just don’t get me started man. I drive a 68′ long vehicle governed at 68 mph! At least 1/3rd of those I pass or attempt to pass speed up.

          • David A says:

Rah, curious to hear your take on potential possibility and timing for long haul trucking being automated.

          • RAH says:

There will probably come a day when long haul trucks are automated but the local drivers that deliver the goods to their endpoint from warehouses will be much more difficult to replace. And in either case before you get rid of the driver you have to come up with a system that cannot be gamed to account for the freight.

As things stand now I have no worries about losing my job to automation/AI nor should any other driver. The day they get rid of all the RR engineers is when truck drivers need to start worrying about their future IMO.

One other thing. This talk about automating driving for freight seems rather premature since if you haven’t noticed, there are truck scales in the every growing number of truck stops. One would think that it would be relatively simple and economical to build accurate weighing systems right into the trucks and trailers so that the driver and shipper would know that a truck is being or has been loaded to within the legal limits but it hasn’t happened now has it! As it stands now I have a gauge that gives me an idea of the pressure on the drive axles of my tractor but is not by any means accurate enough that I will risk a ticket on it.

Right now in the end, in nearly every legal aspect, from the conditions of the equipment , to periodic inspections of the equipment, to the way the freight is loaded and secured, the truck driver is responsible. A whole lot of laws will have to be changed to go automated.

If they were not for ever fomenting wars it would be even cleaner. If USAID was actually used to improve lives in Africa link instead of destroying them the earth would be in better shape and so would humans.

I was just listening to the last part of an interview with Mike Cernovich. He made three eye opening comments.
First, many in the Deep State in DC are pedophiles.
Second what they want from us, as serfs, is our kids ( Think Rotherham 1,400 )
And last, what the Yellow Stream Media has NOT even mentioned is the YUGE number of pedophile arrests. Instead we get the trumped up charges and abuse of Milo, who was originally abused by these pedophiles as a teen. (The sadistic S.O.B.s)

Bill Maher Defends Statutory Rape On Several Occasions: “The Crime Is That We Didn’t Get It On Videotape”

…What an interesting turn of events. Days after outspoken Trump-supporter Milo Yiannopoulos appeared on Bill Maher’s panel of idiots where he was subject to a liberal hit-job, the left decided to execute operation McMuffin; a collaboration between liberals and former CIA “never-Trumper” Evan McMullin to strategically release dredged up flippant remarks Milo made about homosexual grooming – which led to a canceled book deal and his resignation as tech editor for Breitbart. With over 1500 sex trafficking and child exploitation arrests in the first month of Trump’s presidency, this was clearly the left’s desperate attempt to try and insinuate some sort of hypocrisy on the right concerning pedophilia. Weak….

Salon.com even deleted a pro-pedophilia article so they wouldn’t look like total hypocrites when they ran a story quoting Bill Maher, who took credit for kicking off the Milo smear campaign

As an aside they are pulling another nasty on Milo. He has up a website and if I leave it inactive it gets overlaid by a soft porn-site.

These people really are just plain disgusting, depraved and down right evil.

But meet one of the guys about to enjoy some biscuit on my front verandah. :-)

  7. Ernest Bush says:

In Yuma we have lots of Red-Winged Blackbirds flying around grain fields. We get lots of Sandhill Cranes, among others, showing up in the fall, winter, and spring along the marshy areas of the Colorado. Unlike the human population, they have enough sense to be elsewhere during the summer.

  8. Andy says:

    Nice photo Tony

    one my daughter took

  9. Choey says:

The redwing blackbirds can be very nasty. They used to attack me when I was doing field work and got too close to their nests.

  10. Sparks says:

Didn’t I hear a woman say her 10 year old takes care of prairie dogs with a bb gun in a recent presentation? lol hecklers!!

    Well handled btw

  11. Sparks says:

Are these the before photos? haha only joking.

  12. gator69 says:

Red-winged Blackbirds have always been one of my favorite birds, mainly due to their attitude. They can definitely have personality.

I get loads of birds here, everything from Bald Eagles to hummingbirds, numbering in the hundreds (both). At peak season I go through a gallon and a half of nectar a day, and talk about attitude and personality! My hummingbirds will eat out of my hand, and then buzz my head when I get too close to their feeders.

I saw a huge flock of snow geese in the little town of Bloomfield in January this year. Here is a zoomed in shot of some of them taking flight.

    • RAH says:

Don’t see them around central Indiana either. Not even during migration. Plenty of Canadian honkers though, year round though nothing like the mass of them the great that they look like a black cloud from a distance as I’ve seen in the Dakotas.
