Obama has a budget 30% larger than GWB’s largest and has enough money for 2,700 tanks, 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition, 7,000 automatic rifles, million dollar golfing weekends and millions of Obamaphones – but not enough money to keep flying safe.
The U.S. will close 149 air-traffic control towers run by contractors at small- and mid-sized airports beginning on April 7 as a result of automatic budget cuts at government agencies.

Thomas Sowell says that a budget cut choice between making A. Statues of Benedict Arnold or B. Cutting Schools, you always make the choice to cut B because nobody cares about A and cutting schools will likely get the money reinstated. The entire point is to take away things people care about to get them screaming and blaming Republicans. It’s why politics is so freakin’ slimey.

No need to be sick. You need to see the positive side. If no planes crash, everyone knows that the air traffic controllers were not needed; if a plane crashes; Obama gets blamed for choosing to take the air traffic controllers out of the towers instead of laying off climate scientists. Obama is playing chicken with peoples lives and some people may figure it out. Hopefully before the next election.
This whole thing is positive proof that Obama’s administration is trying to make the sequester hurt for political reasons. When the current Democrats holler, and nothing happens, bodes well for the Republicans.
