Don’t expect Katharine to appreciate your sense of humor either. But if it takes 49 alarmists to debate one skeptic, it does not not make the alarmists look particularly bright. Maybe it also takes 49 alarmists to change a lightbulb.
What, one to hold the bulb, and 48 to come to a consensus that it has been changed?
One to measure the light output, 12 to create new models showing that the photons don’t really exist, 12 to find paleo evidence of a hockey stick in the bulb’s output in geologic records, 12 to garner more research, and 12 to ban light bulbs.
One holds the bulb and the others take turns revolving the one holding the light bulb. That would be a 20 year project as each group thins they know which is the proper method of rotation!

So Hayhoe views “climate change” as a sort of popularity contest, and she’s in with the popular crowd. This is very illustrative of her capacity for logical thought.

So, it seems Hayhoe is a Christian (full disclosure — so am I). – Utilizing Hayoe’s apparent logic in her above tweet that any debate with a lone climate realist would require a much larger number of alarmists based on the supposed value of a consensus, I would love to hear Hayhoe’s response to the following question; Recalling that many Christian Churches around the world last Sunday listened to the Gospel reading of the crowd (read consensus) vigorously choosing the life of the thief/anarchist Barabbas over the life of the innocent Jesus, do you (Hayhoe) still believe that a consensus is the best method for basing your opinion?
How can a woman of Hayoe’s so-called scientific credentials take so much pride in her own ignorance? Has she taken the time to study the temperature trend over the past decade-plus? If so, why does she continue to sound the alarm about a “global warming” problem that is non-existent. There has been no warming for 16 years. In fact, there has been a slight cooling trend since 2002.
It is the unbridled greed of Warmist scientists that has kept the global warming scare alive — and their departments flush with research funds — and should be condemned. It is the skeptics who are actually practicing sound science and using the scientific method.
The only way that NASA GISS and NOAA NCDC can find a warming signal is by inventing it through the creative manipulation of temperature data. With each passing day, there are increasing indications that we may be on the cusp of another Little Ice Age, and all the alarmist scientists can do is scream about and wave fingers at an imaginary bogeyman called “climate change,” one of the silliest and meaningless expressions employed by global warming Chicken Littles.
