In his State of the Disunion Speech, Obama announced that it was time to end wildfires in Colorado – based on the overwhelming judgment of science. He had me completely convinced, until I saw this sign on my hike this morning adjacent to last year’s big burn.
Wow! So pine forests need fire?
Perhaps it would make more sense to stop idiots from building subdivisions in the middle of pine forests, rather than sending America back to the dark ages trying to control the climate. Perhaps Obama should quit listening exclusively to the overwhelming judgment of a few criminals posing as scientists?
Another Chinook is coming in this afternoon, and fire crews are working frantically to smother the smoldering regions from Friday’s fire.
