Butler said ‘rise in temps in the last 200 years.’ We warmers can agree, because 200 years ago was a period of low solar activity: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalton_minimum
We have had low Sunspots for years now, but temps are still high, thanks to CO2 GHG AGW.
Low solar activity causes increased government data tampering.
It is cooling despite no La Nina for two years.
Just wait til the oceans catch up Bob. Or have you conveniently forgotten about two thirds of the Earth’s surface?
Exactly. OWLR is increasing, despite increasing CO2.
The thermal budget is decreasing.
The only thing that can avoid a strong drop in world temperatures in a couple years (even more than now) is an increase in solar radiations.

I call that Bullshit, take a look at the Charts presented at the 2013 AGU meeting.

A.C., what is BS? I agree we have a very weak solar cycle, like 200 years ago, but it is still warmer than most of the last century. It should be cooler now, but for CO2 GHG warming.

2009? Bob, the oceans take more than a few years to heat up and cool down. They are just now starting to cool. You are not as obtuse as you pretend.
Gator,
No, they aren’t just now starting to cool. For up to September 2013:
http://www.nodc.noaa.gov/OC5/3M_HEAT_CONTENT/
That would explain the increase in sea ice extent. 😆
You keep referring to the mad adjusters, and ignore empirical data. You are not as obtuse as you pretend.
Reminds me of an old video about 1970’s global cooling from Leonard Nimoy. If you have a look at this graph from this latest WUWT post, you see that that period of global cooling coincided with slightly lower sunspots.
Now, given the current similar low activity of the sun, if we were to experience similar blizzard conditions everywhere, snow in Cairo, record cold in Antarctica, etc, that would sure be a major coincidence!! Let me know if that happens…
It is very telling that in the 2,216 page IPCC AR5 final report the term ‘solar magnetic’ appears a grand total of 3 times, while the term ‘CO2’ appears a mere 2,783 times.
The IPCC’s conclusion that that Sun is just a big bright light bulb in the sky, bathing the Earth in nothing but constant radiative heat, is as laughable as it is simple-minded.
They say the sun intensity varies by 0.1% either way and that’s much too stable to cause global warming. But 0.1% of earth being heated from absolute 0 to 300K is .3 degrees C and “either way” gives us 0.6 degrees max to min. That’s in the ball park for explaining global warming.
