In 1975, the National Academy of Sciences showed that global cooling had erased all 1900-1940 Northern Hemisphere warming.
That didn’t make for a very good story, so Phil Jones erased half of the 1910-1940 warming.

Has Phil mastered Excel yet? In the climategate emails he complained about everybody being away and he was left to struggle on his own with this excotic programme called Excel.
So, judging by his own words, he was too dim to manipulate the database. Somebody else in his department massaged the numbers, and he then published the results under his name. It is evident that Phil took two years to master the % key on his calculator!
Do these guys ever offer an explanation for their, ahem, handiwork?
Given the multi-million cost of policies predicated on the back of this ‘data’ it seems the law on both sides of the pond is strangely complacent in investigating these matters.
