Today’s Featured Climate Fraudster – Thomas Pederson

Global-warming deniers cherry-pick their facts

The cherry-picking season in the Okanagan is over, but it’s alive and well on the letters page of this newspaper, with a classic example via the tired meme: “The planet has warmed very little since 1998.”

Hmmm … why would the letter-writer pick 1998, one wonders? Well, it’s one of the warmest years in recent decades, thanks to a major El Niño, so if you pick that as a starting point — as global-warming deniers are wont to do –– ongoing warming looks less imposing.

It’s spin, pure and simple. The fact is that Planet Earth is heating up. Every decade since the 1970s has been warmer than its predecessor, driven inexorably upward by human-produced greenhouse-gas emissions. And this year is on track to be the warmest of at least the past 1,000 years.

Global-warming deniers cherry-pick their facts

Pederson doesn’t want to include the actual hottest El Nino year of 1998, but does want to include the completely fake “hottest” El Nino year of 2015. He wants to start the trend in the coldest decade of the 1970’s, and then accuses others of cherry-picking.

He is a typical global warming fraudster. Every single one of his facts is wrong, and he projects his own scientific malfeasance on to others. His job at the “Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions” tells us that he is a snake oil salesman charged with selling a completely useless product to the public.

Its funny that they don’t want to include the 1998 El Nino, yet it is the only event that gives any warming to the whole of the satellite record.

The El Nino and related climate events from 1997 -2001 added about 0.26ºC to the atmospheric global temperature in RSS.

The slight warming before has been cancelled by the slight cooling since.

    Without the El Nino…….

THERE IS NO WARMING IN THE WHOLE 36YEARS OF SATELLITE DATA.

And its also obvious that the fool is a total mathematical non-entity.

1998 isn’t picked as the start of the ZERO trend, it is mathematically derived by back calculation.

Absolutely no cherry-picking involved at all.

Those people can lie all they want. It’s 62 deg F here in my neck of the woods in Central Indiana right now and the high was 64 today. Good breeze has kept my 5′ x 8′ stars and stripes stretched out the whole day. Nearly 1/2 the leaves off my Cottonwood tree are down. More than that on my two willows. And my neighbors Red Maples leaves were all over my front yard. Wore a heavy flannel lined work shirt today when I mowed. It’s may still be summer but old Man winter is letting everybody know he’s coming and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he wasn’t a little bit early this year.

    • rah says:

I forgot to mention. I had gone two weeks without mowing my grass. The last two weeks of August it had started to get brown in spots. It normally does that in early July but this year it remained green all over through out that month which is usually our hottest here in Central Indiana. The last few days we had some pretty good rain and as I look out on my freshly mowed lawn I see no brown spots. It could be spring time as far as my lawn is concerned except for the fact it had some buck horn weeds which only show up after the middle of July. And the fact that I have leaves falling from the trees that I ground up with the mower. It has been a very mild summer for us here and I don’t need any instruments to know that is the fact!

Harvest is already on here! Delivered Toilets and lavatories in vanities to the American Standard Warehouse in Mansfield, OH this morning. On the way back saw two different corn fields in N. Indiana being harvested already. The ears on the corn stunted by too much rain have fallen early. Still a lot of fields of corn with more as much green and brown in the plants though and those will have to wait.

In RSS a zero trend back calculation is statistically sustainable for 26 years.

Hopeful sign, but probably just a slowing down, rather than end of the insanity. Regulation and government control sometimes pauses, but then picks right back up again once people get used to things. Plus, even though those defectors didn’t go for it this time, there’s always the next term, or the one after that. I doubt California is going to move to the center any time soon. I don’t even know who my state representatives are. Makes no difference how I vote anyway. I know who my representatives to the US Congress are, and they’re idiots, but again, my vote makes no difference. It is so far skewed each election.

Brest is proud to have been one of the first sites in the world where systematic observations of sea level were conducted in 1679 by the French astronomers Picard and La Hire. Subsequently, sea level measurements continued, first under the leadership of the French Royal Academy of Sciences, then the Bureau des Longitudes and finally since 1846 by SHOM, which makes this port unique in the world. The observations show that the sea level has risen about 30 centimeters in 300 years.

Projection was one of the first mental disorders we studied in my Psychology 101 class, it is often an indicator of deeper issues, which explains why we see it displayed so often by leftists.

    • The leftists are projectors—-it’s only a matter of time before they start projecting projection on us.

      • gator69 says:

That has already happened. Crazy has no boundaries.

      • It’s important to realize that the leftist projections happen in two fundamentally different ways:

        1. Truly subconsciously, as a psychological phenomena, e.g. Progressives claiming that liberalized concealed carry will lead to killings in parking spot arguments

        2. Consciously, as a technique, accusing the opponents of the very same things the Left plans to do, e.g. the works of Lenin, Alinsky, etc.

The two ways, conscious and subconscious, amplify each other and achieve far greater effect than the sum of the parts would be.

        • Johnknight says:

I don’t doubt that many “useful idiots” are leftist, but it is inconceivable to me that the big buck boys are really intending to surrender their wealth and power just as soon as they get the little people signed on to a “socialist” global system.

Me thinks It will be roughly as “leftist” as a slave plantation . . wherein all the slaves are treated roughly the same ; )

Arrogant selfishness in world leaders, fueled by well-paid but dishonest and self-serving science advisors, is the root of society’s problems today.

The following document was posted on ResearchGate so scientists will feel pressured to publicly address evidence the pulsar-centered Sun made and sustains every atom, life and planet in the solar system and peacefully end society’s demise.

Despite false claims by NASA, NOAA, the UN’s IPCC, Al Gore and Obama that CO2 controls Earth’s climate, here is independent evidence the Sun’s pulsar core controls planet Earth and its climate:

We had an 85 degree day in August in Dallas due to cold front coming in. Unheard of in Dallas this time of year.

This winter will be cold. The sunspot activity is hardly anything. Just wait and see what a corker winter is this time, and if said sunspots don’t recover, then get ready for another Maunder minimum, and fat Al Gore and Barrack Odumba will be wish they had some coal to burn to keep their dumb asses warm!

Pederson needs to get with the program. 1998, according to GISS, far from being one of the warmest years is now magically colder than several more recent years and gets colder as time goes by.
