There is no scientific basis for these claims. Storms like this are not unusual in Scotland and northern England.
During the Little Ice Age, Scotland had regular large floods every thirty years. Obviously has nothing to do with global warming.
We see these sorts of claims every day from fraudsters cashing on on the massive government climate scam pie.

We were supposedly in a hideous drought that was going to be permanent due to Global Whatever.
And snow was going to be a thing of the past…
