NASA Fraud In Balmorhea, Texas

Balmorhea, Texas has been cooling since the 1940’s. Gavin doesn’t like this, so he lowers 1940’s temperatures by about 1C, and turns cooling into warming.

There is no question that the area was warmer in the 1940’s.

The closest stations to Balmorhea show the same thing. Warmer in the 1940’s, and Gavin tampering with the data to cool the past.

I can’t imagine what basis (scientific basis) you could use to adjust a temperature reading that was taken 100 years ago. Doing so would take a great leap of imagination or plain fraud..

Sure you could – especially for a metropolis urban city. For a city of 1 million, even the EPA suggests that the afternoon urban heat island effect could be in the 5-8 F range. To adjust for that, one would then raise older temperatures, based upon population, etc., or lower current measured temperatures.

      Gavin has it backwards.
